can't get motivated

just can't get motivated!!!!

i have a total of about 27 lbs left to loose- and i can't seem to get myself off my butt to get it acomplished!!! :guilty:

haven't been exercizing--- and my diet is horrible lately- can't be bothered--
can't figure whats up lately :confused3

l need some one out there to yell , motivate and guilt me into loosing weight
 
Me too :( My mom has even offered me 100 bucks if I lose 20. That just isn't motivation. I am noticing a smaller tummy from the situps, and those results are kind of keeping me going, but I love food wayyy too much. Someone help us!
 
i have spent the past 18 mos just where you both are! FINALLY this week the scale moved down and let me tell you it is VERY VERY NICE!!!!!

i'm choosing this time to believe that i AM in a losing phase and it's not a yo-yo that will just move back up like i have done so many times in the past. this time I can say that i'm able to make better choices b/c eating certain things just doesn't seem worth it. make sense?

i did start forcing myself to journal again -- i'm not there 100% yet, but it's helping alot

i wish i could say what you need to hear, only you know those words deep within you, start listening to them. when you are tempted to stray off plan, stop and distract yourself someway for 10 mins and see if the temptation passes. find an activity that is incompatible with eating (not reading, watching tv but rather take a walk or bike ride, do a chore, etc)

one more thing -- do you have a dog???? great distraction -- make a commitment to walk your dog for HIS/HER health 3-4 times a week!

oh yea, no guilt from me, the past is behind you, focus on TODAY!

What I have found is that when you focus on one small step at a time and don't worry about the ultimate goal it is so much easier. So today try drinking an extra glass of water or parking your car further away in a parking lot. How about adding a salad to your meal? You decide but make it small steps..........and pretty soon they will become easy!!

thanks for your replies-

i've decided to make a real push to diet and exercize for the next 2 weeks- make it my uiltimate goal- i have a wedding to attend in 2 weeks i'd live to be 5 lbs lighter for.

once i loose i'm fine at maintaining - its getting myself motivated to loose-

so i figure i'll try a very short 2 week goal and see
