Can't get Alamo rates to change with any codes

I'm not used to booking with Alamo. I can't get any rates other than 10% off (before coupons). I'm used to National, where there are different rates for different codes. I put in different codes and always get the 10% off rate.

I am an Alamo insider so I'm not sure if that's causing issues.

There is an Alamo Insider coupon code for $40 off a weekly rental good for your dates. AD4027JDO Brought your total down to $809.22. Not a lot but every little bit helps!

If you combine the following Alamo insider codes, you can get down to $539.61 (savings of $316.47).

20% off daily rate : 7014667 (in 'ID/Corp ID' box)
$40 off week : AD4027JDO (in 'Coupon' box)

You might want to consider renting 2 cars? Gives you more luggage room? And might be much cheaper?

Yes, I actually have the car right now for $533.80. Two drivers isn't an option as my extended family doesn't want to drive and I don't want to leave my family to chauffeur them around. So, one car is what we are going with.

My original question was that the rate wasn't changing with different codes. But, I understand now that Alamo works that way. I was getting the "best rate" at the time (over and over again!!!). Now that some specials have come out, those codes drop the rate. I was used to getting several different rates depending on the codes with National.

I have two reservations as of now-- one with an Alamo Insiders code that states on the reservation Additional Driver included, but it is $40 more than the one you gave us- the one that doesn't say Additional Driver. So I don't know????

Additional Driver Fee / Alamo

Is there always an additional driver daily fee? How much is it?

Any additional driver (including a spouse or domestic partner) will pay a daily fee of approximately $10 per day.
Fees are waived for additional drivers who are renting under corporate contracts and the Alamo Insiders program allows for one additional driver to be added at no cost.
Corporate Contracts in the United States are allowed the following additional drivers at no charge:
Commercial (corporate) rentals, the renter's business partner, employer or fellow associate, who has a signed corporate contract with Alamo and drives the car for business purposes and who meet normal renter requirements.
All other additional authorized driver situations are subject to a daily charge.
An additional driver may only be added to the contract at a rental location and may be added or removed in the middle of the contract. When adding an additional driver in the middle of the contract both the renter and the additional driver must be present at the location.
The system will calculate the charges based on the dates the additional driver was listed on the rental
