Can't Find Cheap Motel Rooms for Late Apr 2013

I'm starting to look at rooms on S. Harbor Blvd near the main entrance to DL for Apr 21 to Apr 27, 2013, and I'm either finding rates in the mid $100's per night, or some of the motels saying "no rooms available".

Is this considered the busy season? Is something scheduled that time next year that I'm not aware of? I can't believe some places would be booked 11 months in advance. Out last visit we only paid $90 per night at the Ramada Maingate in mid November. Now I can't find anything close to that. Should rates be cheaper if I wait until closer to our trip?

I don't have anything to add about the hotels.... Just happy to see someone is as crazy as me! We are also planning a trip for the end of April 2013. Have fun planning! :cool1:

Keep in mind as well that not all hotels book that far in advance - this is why you may see the no rooms available.

This is what I am seeing. We'd like to go in April also, but schedules aren't open yet. Just keep checking back.:goodvibes

Maybe it's because that is spring break?

From what I've read it looks like about 95% (estimate) of spring breaks are over by then. People on this board who were there that same week this year said it wasn't too crowded, but maybe hotels consider this part of the busy season because there are technically still some schools on spring break.

I'll keep searching, and hopefully rooms will be available later in the year.

I think it's just too early. WDTC hasn't even released rooms past 2012 yet.
