My 2 DSs aren't interested in Zhu Zhus, but thought I'd post this article for those of you who have kids asking for them: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34305092/
I'm so glad my daughter doesn't want these anymore! Besides being ridiculously priced, it looks like yet another toy that contains toxic materials. I wish the U.S. would put in place better safety measures for "goods" being sold in our country.

They are NOT ridiculously priced unless you're bidding for them on Ebay. They are 1 of the most affordable hot toys I've ever seen. I averaged about $50 altogether for the Zhu Zhu stuff i got for my niece. Some of which will be paid back cause I was the only 1 able to actually find them.
As for the recall, I blame sour grapes on somebody who can't find them and doesn't want to bid on Ebay. My niece is old enough to know we don't put Mr. Squiggles in our mouth.
I try to avoid toxic materials AND ice cream. But I feel to each his/her own. I would never try to get anyone to avoid those things if they really want them.
