Would u all stay at a value resort for 10 days or would u do a split stay. My family is going to DW in oct 09 I know 2 years away but my DH is deploying for 15 months leaving next month and I refuse to go until he gets home. Anyways I was looking at prices of the moderate resorts and the value and we love POP but we decided to stay at the Caribbean beach but then I thought it would save to stay at pop. What do u think. Should we stay at pop or do a spit stay. And would pop make me have a over load on Disney?:confused3

I think you should stick with the Caribbean Beach resort. I also think that, since you have quite a while to save, you should try for the 10 days. We have stayed at the CBR two years in a row and both stays were for 10 days.

Long stays at the CBR work well for us. We take 2 days for the Magic Kingdom, 2 days at Epcot, 1 day at Animal Kingdom, 1 day at MGM Studios and a day at a water park.

Since the CBR has a marina, beaches and lots of quiet pools, we take a couple of days off and just laze around the resort. There's plenty to do to occupy your time.

The rooms at the CBR are larger (340 square feet) than those at the value resorts and of the moderate resorts. You'll have lots of room to move around and a place to put all those souveniers you bought.

The CBR rooms also come with a refrigerator (at no charge) which will help your budget. You can bring along your own colas, milk, water, fruit, etc. The rooms also have coffee pots, hair dryers, iron and ironing board at no additional charge.

The bus service at the CBR was very efficient during both of our stays and, since it is so centrally located, it won't take long to reach any Disney destination.

Hope this helps in your decision making process. Lisa

Thank you Lisa now to talk the kids into it lol. My son is home sick and I just showed him the pics of CB and he got excited because of the pirate pool. He was all for POP but I think I have changed his mind. My other son won't mind just as long as he sees Mickey. I guess I do have enough time to save up. Plus this will be my DH welcome home trip so to spend a little extra i worth it. :thumbsup2

Have you shown them the CBR pictures at www.allearsnet.com? They are great!

Also, since you have a military member in your group, mention it to the Disney reservationist. Our friends did this and they received a complimentary room upgrade, free park hopper passes and Category 1 seating at Hoop Dee Doo Review.

Another vote for CBR. We have stayed at POP and CBR and our kids loved the pool so much more at CBR. Not to mention the Hot Tub.
