Am ready to book next years holiday, going last two weeks in August and am wanting to stay onsite. The free dining is a big plus, but having looked at the resorts, the pricing is such that the values and moderates are all equally appealing, be it getting dining free or paying extra to have it with a value resort. :thumbsup2

There will be myself and my GF, and her two children, 5 & 8 at the time of travel, it will be their first trip to Disney World and they are very much into Disney. Whilst the theming at the value resorts I feel is a lot more fun for kids, we are looking at POR, POFQ and OKW - mainly because we want to come back and be away from the 'in your face' feel of Disney - in a vain hope that we may be able to calm them down and get them to relax a little. :rolleyes1

Just looking for a few opinions as to whether these resorts are a good idea, or if there's anything else I should be taking into account?

Cheers! :thumbsup2

are you going to book on the disney uk site, if so all 3 resorts are roughly the same price. por pofq are moderates and are giving the qsdp whereas okw is a dvc delux and is giving you the table service dining plan. you would get more space and a balcony at okw. it all depends on what you want.

A vote here for POR. Totally relaxing with a delux resort feel at a moderate resort price! I'm booking our 3rd visit here for next year. :goodvibes

Love POFQ less sprawling than POR which is also lovely. However the DDP at OKW is better value esp. if free. Depends on the dining if you ask me!

I think OKW, you get a balcony and kitchenette, though we loved POR when we stayed there.

I think we're leaning towards OKW, it seems to tick a few more boxes than Port Orleans, it's an excellent price on Disney's website as well.

Thanks all for your responses. :thumbsup2
