Can't decide which dates to go

The decorations will switch before your trip dates. We were there in 2011 from the 1st through the 8th, and it switched over on the 7th. It was kind of neat. We started the week at MK in fall mode, and went back our last day and it was in Christmas mode.

I would do November. I don't know anything about March, we have never been around that time (and couldn't because of work) but we went our first time in August, and it is HOT... like, not even funny hot. And near constant rain. We do everything in our power to not go again in August. This time we are doing November or December. I hear nothing but good for those months.

We're doing November 2017, overlapping with your trip. It seemed like a good time to go.

Typically the during that first week once the Halloween parties are done. They don't go back to the standard decorations. When the Halloween ones come down, the holiday ones go up. It is good to note that Christmas trees, Gingerbread houses and larger decorations take time to set up so if you want to see the most I would wait until at least the 2nd or 3rd week. Before Thanksgiving week though.

November is my favorite time to go to Disney! Soak up the lower crowds on your earlier days so you can take it slow and use Fast Pass + and maybe some sit down meals on the days with the busier crowds.

I wanted to go in November but I was unable to get off of work. We are now going at the end of August. Thanks for all the advise.
