hello everyone, as you already know i will be visiting Disneyland in August.
we still havent decided which hotel we're going to stay in.
i'm been looking at the reviews but that still didnt help me much. :surfweb:
i would like to stay onsite this year and i've been thinking about hotel Santa Fe or Chyenne Hotel. Which one do you recommend the most?
Thanks xx popcorn::

Who would be going?

If you have children the Cheyenne is much more exciting theming wise. It also has bunk beds and one double bed rather than 2 doubles.

apart from that theres not much difference.

They are about the same difference from the park and have the same quality breakfast etc.

Santa fe is slightly cheaper so if it was a case of spending a bit more on the hotel and missing out on other things then Id go for santa fe and use that money elsewhere.
Ive stayed at both and would stay at either again

I havent stayed at either but I love the theming of the Cheyene and if you have kids they will love it too :goodvibes

just me and my boyfriend will be going.
i've stayed at santa fe 9 years ago but i was so young back then that i dont remember a thing. thanks for now :)

If money was no object I would go for the Disney hotel, but tbh I have always just gone for the Santa Fe and had extra money to spend whilst there.

now that would be a dream come true to go to the disneyland hotel, but unfortunately that would be impossible for us this year maybe in the near future, right now im just looking for a cheap onsite hotel :)

I would defentially say Cheyenne!!. I love the theming in this hotel!.

But Santa Fe, is also lovely:goodvibes

when i talked to the travel agents about cheyenne they said that they never recommend it and that its not a very wise idea to stay there. when i asked why then just laughed at me! i wonder why they said that? i've seen pictures and it does look amazing

That is the oddest thing I've ever heard, Cheyenne has been getting the most fabulous reviews lately, with people expressing a preference for it over the Sequoia Lodge.

Were they trying to perhaps get you to upgrade to SL, I remember a travel agent telling me the double bed was much smaller at Cheyenne than SL ?

i dont know that could be one of the reasons that they wanted my to upgrade but not to SL. they wanted me to choose the kyraid hotel, even though i told them i want to stay onsite they kept bragging about how much worth it it is to stay offsite. of course i didnt book i just walked out on them.

Thats such ridiculous thing for a travel agent to say!!!:scared1:
Why would they say that?.

Its a brilliant hotel, great theming, rooms, its clean, friendily cast members, it has everything you would expect from a Disney hotel!.

Its only draw back is its a bit of a walk to the parks, but they do offer the shuttle service!:goodvibes

i personally dont have a bad thing to say about cheyenne!:wizard:

i have stayed at the santa fe twice and i highly reccomend it. its a lovely hotel with all the basics, a nice bar, a restaraunt and a shop. tbh the theming of a hotel would be lost on me so that aspect isnt important to me. if you enjoy the theming of a hotel then yes the cheyenne looks great. i dont think you could go wrong with either one.

I've never stayed at the Santa Fe, but have stayed at the Cheyenne and it was amazing! I have no idea why the travel agent said that to you, but I would definitely recommend it.

Oh and I am one that will recommend it over the Sequoia Lodge any day ;) and when we return it will be to the Cheyenne (unless we have a lottery win and can stay at the Pink Palace :rotfl: )

We have stayed at the Cheyenne twice and thought the theming was great.

Stayed at the Santa Fe just the once and thought that was great value for money. Personnaly, we prefered the breakfast area in the Santa Fe (it was bigger and easier to get a seat)

The room we had in each hotel was spacious enough, considering we have a toddler and 7yr old. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were clean.

Santa Fe usually comes up a bit cheaper than Cheyenne, so it comes down to whether you would prefer to have The Western theming of the Cheyenne.:)
