We'll be staying at BC (arriving 9am so we'll be tired but plenty of time to rest) and I can't decide between Cape May, Kouzzina, or Wolfgang Puck Cafe (never been to any of these). We're not going to a park on this day.

DH is a pescatarian (no shellfish), dd4 and ds1 will make do with mac & cheese and anything else depends on their mood, I'm flexible. I'd love some feedback. Our other ADRs for this trip are 1900 PF (bkfst and dinner), Ohana, and Boma. Now that I think of it, I do have one TS I need to pay OOP for - should I just cancel the first night dinner and plan for a CS instead? :confused3

TIA!

Looks like Wolfgang Puck Cafe or Cape May. Since we've never been to either, I'm sure it'll be a fun experience. Thanks for the input! :goodvibes

Are you talking about dinner or bfast? I though Cape May was a seafood buffet for dinner so if your hubby is allergic to shellfish that won't work for him!

Since you're not doing a theme park on arrival day, although I have not dined at WGP's to recommend either way, I would still choose that one to allow some time in DTD.

Plus if you are using Disney buses, going to DTD is the slowest place to travel to so if I wanted to go, I'd do it my non-park day.

ANother option staying at the BW you can walk over to fantasia gardens & play a round of mini golf. Have a great trip!

Is your husband allergic to shellfish or just doesn't like it? We stay at the BCV's and I think it is better to stay close to the resort for the first night. We always go to Cape May but if hubby is allergic ...don't do near there. Kouzzina is a possibilty. I'm not sure what I think of Kouzzina yet( I loved Spoodles) although if you like the menu give it a try. Also the Swan and Dolphin have restaurants and there is always Beaches and Creme.:wizard:

I'm talking about dinner. This is actually a mostly non-parks trip (we're DVC members and go 2x per year, we're only going to 1 park out of our 4 nights there), just a few days for a break so we have every day to be spent at our leisure.

I hadn't thought about mini golf, I'll throw the idea out there. Thanks!

He's not exactly allergic to shellfsih, he doesn't eat it for religious reasons. He keeps mostly kosher but isn't super strict about it so when we go out he eats vegetarian and some fish. If we go to Cape May there's definitely very little he can eat there but I'd order him a kosher meal so he'd have his dinner set. I'm ordering a meal for him at O'hana since that's basically all meat. At Kouzzina they have a whole fish on the menu but it's catch of the day so there's a small chance it'd be a fish that he can't have (without scales and fins).

:wizard: We like to go to Wolfgang Puck's the first night because we stay at POR. We can take the boat to DTD, have dinner and walk around. We're usually exhausted the first night and don't want to do the parks so this gets in the Disney mood and we still get to bed early!

I would do Wolfgang Puck or Cape May, and I'd lean slightly toward Cape May because it's on-site, probably faster, and that would allow the kids more time to enjoy the amazing pool and relax before you hit the park the next day.

Cape May is wonderful, however the dinner is a clam bake and if your hubby is allergic to shellfish...errr...might not be such a great idea. You could do the breakfast buffet though. I have not eaten at Kouzzina yet...not since the name change so I don't know about that.

We like to use CS the first night since we're usually tired from taking an early morning flight and just being SO excited about being at WDW!:yay:

I voted for Cape May.

I'm not much of a shellfish eater and there was tons of yummy food to eat. They have very good roast beef, ribs, mashed potatoes, green beans, salads, soups .. and great desserts!!!

With DH's food restrictions, we've decided to go with Wolfgang Puck Cafe for dinner the first night. Thanks for all the great feedback and thoughts! :flower3:
