Can't decide between three hotels at DL gate

lalamama, Just posting to say thank you so much for your detailed comparison of the Desert Inn and suites and Park Vue Inn differences!! Like you I am very picky about beds these days (much more so than most people). My 55 year old back wants a super comfy more plush kind of bed vs. firm, especially after busy theme park days. Other people can be fine with beds at plenty of places I've stayed before, but a more firm bed means not too great a night's sleep for me. Anyway, we have three adults going to Disneyland -- me, my sister-in-law and my 20 year old son. I was looking for three real beds in the same room - not bunks or pull out (that eliminated the Residence Inn, Springhill suites, places like that). I had a parlor suite booked at the DSIS which was all I had seen with that configuration, but now I see that I can get a three queen two room configuration at Park Vue Inn (great location with both of those properties for sure) and I'm going to get one of the three queens Park Vue Inn configurations if I can. I don't know if that one has one or two baths, but one is all we need with just three of us. It's the beds I care about. I want each adult to have their own. // Our trip will be next January, and really the indoor hot tub/pool and faster wifi would make DSIS more appealing to DS and the suite overall is a really nice layout per pictures I've seen, but hey -- I'm paying so am jumping ship to get that comfy bed for me. // It looks like you have to call to get these limited three queen room configurations, but as I am talking about a slow time next January, I'll call in another month when they are booking these and should I am thinking be able to get a reservation for one of these. // Note: Disneyland is new for us -- 39 time WDW vet, but I was just to Disneyland once and that was 1964 when I was four.

I'd probably still be best with a chain I know with beds that will be comfy, but wanting a three real bed configuration (no bunks or hyda-a-bed) is really limiting my choices in my search. And OMG, would have super close location be great, especially traveling with my sister-in-law just in case she doesn't want to hit the parks as long as my son and I do. It would be so easy for any adult to go back anytime and just all join up later with these close Harbor Drive locations. That sounds super great.

If you want 3 beds, then a parlor suite at the Desert Inn wouldn't have worked anyway. It just has two beds and pull out couch.
