Is anyone else having trouble cancelling ADRs online? Every time I try today, it says "Sorry, there was an error. Please try again."

I know this sounds weird, but when i signed into my Disney account as graciesmom77@aol.com it had the same error that you got. When I signed in as Graciesmom77 (no @aol.com) it worked just fine. Weird, but this has happened to me 4 or 5 times over the last week or so. Wouldnt hurt to try it that way and see what happens. Good luck! :goodvibes

I had this issue a while back. Seems that my net browser Firefox couldn't get it to respond, so I jumped on to Internet Explorer, logged on and worked fine.

Didn't have any problems making ADR's on Firefox, just cancelling them!

I've had the same problem as Roger - I can make ADRs in Firefox (though that wasn't always the case - for a while it would just hang at the "searching" screen) but to cancel I have to use Internet Explorer.

I also have alot of issues using Firefox and just switch over to IE when dealing with the disney website

I have had issues with reservations, both dining and room not showing up, being unable to cancel ADR's, etc on both IE and Firefox. When that happens I close out of internet, and walk away for a few minutes, and come back to it. It usually works by then. Maybe there is a bug with the Disney website?? Maybe it is my computer??

Sorry to post and not get back to everyone! Thank you for your responses, at least I know it's not just me.

I was already using IE so not sure about the browser.

Guess I'll try again today and see what happens...

Well, great. Now when I go to cancel, I get kicked to a message that says "We noticed you've been idle for a while, for your security booking sessions end automatically after 30 minutes of inactivity." And I find myself on a page to find and book ADRs. And of course I haven't been idle at all.

Sheesh. Guess I'm going to call and cancel these things. Very irritating.

I just cancelled two ADRs online yesterday :confused3

Maybe check to make sure you have the most recent version of whatever browser you're using, plus make sure your Java is up to date. Also try clearing your cache and cookies

If firefox and IE don't work, try Safari. I've never had issues with it in fact, I used it to cancel a reservation early this morning.

I use Google Chrome and haven't been able to cancel any ADRs for the past couple days. :headache:

Try logging out, and logging back in. I had a heck of a time making payments on my package for the same reasons you mentioned, then I logged out, logged back in, and everything worked great.

The Disney site is horrible with cookie and session management. This leads to the login/logout issues (cookie based) and many issues with anything requiring you to be logged in (session based).

Firefox was horrible for while (guessing they deprecated something that Disney was using) and it got cleared up with FF7, but it's still slower than dirt (probably going back to an inefficient code-base to work around the issues) and has a lot of wonky issues.

If multiple browsers don't work, try clearing cookies and cache, updating to more recent versions, updating Java, or using a new browser (one you've never used on the Disney site).

Lots of times if you're stuck with your common browser (for me it's Firefox, though that's getting slower lately and seems to have lots of memory leaks :(), using one you rarely (if ever) use will work as the cookie/session information will not be present to flub things up like they are in your common one. This is why some people switching to MSIE from FF works, and others vice-versa. (Or whatever combination you can think of).

I too was having problems. Really getting frustrated and then decided to check the disboards for help. I had tried everything I could think of, even reading their site for technical problems. Finally, after reading this thread I switched to Safari and success! Thanks for your help! :)
