Can't buy dining???

Ok on phone with Disney right now trying to book pkg for either april or sept. We are AP holders and are being told we cannot purchase dining plan in Sept, because we are passholders . But we could purchase dining if we were not passholders. Does this sound right?? Told dd to hang up and back to talk to someone else.

You should be able to book dining as an annual passholder. However, it becomes a "package" reservation instead of "room-only", subject to the normal package rules (sans ticket purchase).

You cannot get "free dining" with an AP package, of course, but I don't think that was your question, was it?

Lol, still on phone, we can book for dates before April 16 and buy dining plan. After April 16 as passholders we would have purchase the 1 day ticket even for non free dining. Unless of course another promotion comes out after April 16.

Not true! Call back. Several months ago, I booked for April 30th-May 8th at rack rate and added the DDP without having to buy park tickets. I just told the CM that I wanted an AP ticketless pkg, so I could add the DDP and it was no problem. Now I did call back a couple of weeks ago and switch it to the current TSU code for 25% off moderates. When I did that I had to add one day park tickets. However, if/when an AP discount comes out, I'll be switching to that and dropping those one day tickets again.
