Can't Book Any LL With Data Plan on Samsung Galaxy

First timer using the app - and I practiced a lot from home. The first thing I did when I entered the park for the first time yesterday was try to book a ILL ride. Got an error message "Something went wrong. We're unable to load your details. Please try again". Also not able to book any LL rides. Tip Board also won't load! GREAT! Such a disappointing start!

A cast member helped me purchase the ILL rides separately at a customer service counter, and logged the incident noting my phone and Android version. Apparently it's a known issue with my phone (Samsung Galaxy 20FE).

I found out accidentally later that everything works with WiFi! I'm roaming from Canada with AT&T so maybe it's the carrier/roam/ phone combo that's the problem? Anyone know?

The WiFi has actually been not too bad, so it's not a huge deal - but it is annoying to be crippled at times being at the mercy of the DLR WiFi.

This is my biggest fear coming from New Zealand. I don't want to have to rely on the Disney wifi and all the troubles that may come with it.

I am thinking just skipping it and doing rope drop. Not a star wars or Marvel fan so don't really care about those rides.

I really only cared about making sure I got ILL for Rise of the Resistance. And by day two, I was over my initial disappointment. Saving money on data roaming, anyway! Lol
 

Was the rest of the app working? Was Internet access functioning for other apps/browser?

That’s a pretty odd bug.

Yup... everything else was fine - just no Tip Board and LL/ILL reservations. They still displayed fine afterwards.

Staff seemed pretty aware of the issue, and confident that the LL passes would display after purchasing separately... and they did.

As I mentioned, they said it's a known bug with my particular phone - but what they didn't specify (not sure if they were just unaware) it's only for data plan access.

The only thing I haven't tried yet is re-installing the app. My app version is a couple of months old.
 
I had the same problem at Disney World in January with a Canadian plan on a Samsung Galaxy S9+. Android phones from Canada have issues loading the tip board.
