I really didn't think it was possible! I had read so many different situations on DIS regarding this code!! I had called earlier in the week & the only discounts attached to me were for Feb & Jan. Called today (after reading all the postings) & asked the following:
"Hello, I'm planning on going in September. Wondering if there is any pins attached to my name?" I had a WONDERFULLY MAGICALLY CM who looked & said, "well no, but I have a code I could use." So he worked his magic & was nice enough to look at all resorts for the time I was there (Sept 4th-14th) and said that AKL had all room types available & priced those out for me. I asked about CSR and at first there wasn't any available, but then he checked another screen & found a room there too. POR & POP also were part of the code (it was the forbidden code--he said it outloud!! ).

He did mention that the code discounted the waterparks & more ticket, but I don't know if that's really the case...(aka haven't read that on the DIS yet!!) I do know that I was quoted $2859.76 for 10 nights at AKL, 10 day PH & h2o tix, & dining for 2 adults! I couldn't believe it!! We were planning on going through AAA for CSR (king bed) and were quoted $2848.36...this is a no brainer!! $11 difference from a moderate to deluxe?! (We've never stayed at a deluxe before!! ) I know it's a standard (parking lot) view, but I don't care at this point!

I thanked him numerous times for being so helpful & he was genuinely so kind. He said that whenever he has them, he uses the codes because he doesn't work on a commission or anything and saving money on trips makes people want to come back to WDW more!!

I wish for all of you who haven't had luck w/this code yet to get this CM!! He was so nice and magical!

Congratulations! You are very lucky, each time I call, I'm told that I do not have a discount associated to my name and then they quote me the rack rate. Oh well.

Please call back, You got a bad CM! I have talked to about 6 CM's over the last two days and four of them told me that the other two were incorrect and gave me bad information. One CM explained it like this. If you have the PIN it was for a Jan-Feb promotion, but that you have an Upsell code with this. This is the forbidden code. She said that UPsell code allows us to book at other target dates to get the 40% off of room and to allow us to go to a package.

FOr instance, the first CM incorrectly told me I could not change the parks days to just one (we already have tickets but we want dining). But I called back and got a knowledgable person who said I was "misinformed by that CM". So PLEASE keep calling back until you get a good CM. Good luck!

So I'm wondering if the upsell code you speak of isn't available for the dates we are going Sept 4-13. In the end, it really isn't that big of a deal since we would have to pay full price for the park tickets and dinning anyways. With as little as my fiancee eats anyways it might just be worth it to just pay as we go. I mean 20 for breakfast, 30 for lunch, 30 for dinner and 20 for snacks come out to $100 a day or $900. Yes we could save $100-$200 on the dinning plan, but we would still have to do one meal on our own so it pretty much comes out even in the end anyways.

That seems to be the biggest unknown of all because not everyone registered through Disney got the e-mail or postcard pin code sent to them.

Ok Im really confused. YOu got the email, you have the pin and yet you can't use it. Your dates do fall into the dates listed (all of September) so why are you having problems? And this IS a room only rate. It is just that you should have an upsell code attached to your address (PM if you need this) that will allow you to add a package to this.

I know this works both ways because, right now have a package booked in March with this PIN and code for 5 nights room discounted at 40%, one day base ticket and dining. This is beacause we wanted dining. But I also have a reservation for November for 5 nights at the GF for 1435.00. NO tickets or dining. So I could do this either way no problem. If you are looking for a 40% room reduction only you need to call back and get a CM that can help you. You DO Not have to make this a package. Did you call the telephone number on the email? This should make you enter the PIN code first before you even talk to anyone. If you call the reservation regular number you may have to tell them you have a PIN number.

Also, are you really saying your fiance eats little. Would sharing some of these meals be an option? My DH and I share breakfast and then share a lunch therefore we only use two counter services a day (1 for him and 1 for me) and therefore we don't usually pay out of pocket for anything. We tend to go to the counter service places that have big portions and we generally have both our lunch and breakfast paid for by the dining plan. We have even shared meals at the sit down restraunts because we get an appy and dessert. This is perfectly legal at Disney unless you go to a buffet which in that case you both would have to use a TS credit. Anyways just a thought since you mentioned you had to buy breakfast.

No I was able to use the pin code and booked Poly for 9 nights and saved $1330. When I called to do the "upsell" to a package it only came out to $15 difference when you figure in breakfasts, so I decided not to upgrade.

As far as my fiancee not having large meals, it does depend. Sometimes she's really hungry and eats a normal meal and sometimes she eats a smaller meal. It all depends.

This is terrific news. Congratulations on getting such a great rate. You never know, you may get upgraded to a Savannah room for free. We did and it was magical seeing my DD 22 months light up every morning when she saw the giraffes, elephants, wildabeasts, etc. outside of her window.

I have tried 3 CM's and have had no luck. I've only been asking for room-only as i didn't really think i needed the package. Hopefully i'll get lucky and get a spectacular CM on my next call.

Perhaps had I suggested a resort it wouldn't have been available? It's all so confusing to why some people are able to get it & others are not able to??
