Can't believe I am asking, but am I doing the math right?

My family is 2 adults and 2 kids. Comparing FD with the kids play/ eat free, it looks like it comes down to the cost of a kid's ticket compared to an adult's dining charge. We will stay at a value, so this is assuming the FD offer is QS at the values.

Ok, we are staying 8 nights and getting 8 day tickets. A kid's 8 day ticket is $204. The cost for QS for an adult is: $32 x 8=$256. FD would save us $104 over the current DV offer, right?

We are also a family of 4 with two little ones. This is what I did:

Go to Disney's website and price out 8 nights at your desired hotel for just 2 adults, with tickets and quick service dining. That's the price for the visa kids stay/eat/play free offer (since the kids tickets and qsd plan dining is free).

Then, price out 8 nights at your desired hotel for all 4 of you, with just tickets. That would be the total price with the free dining.

I just subtracted the difference to see how much more I'd be saving with free dining. For us it's more substantial because we are staying 11 nights and already have tickets, so the ones we get we will just save for a future trip.

You forgot to also add the cost of the QSDP, to show the savings you will be getting.

To make it easier:

Go plug in your information to the Disney World site, but just for adults only + QSDP plus whatever ticket options you want. Then do the same thing, but add the kids. The difference between the two is the amount of savinngs.

Child's dining I'm sure was left out since it is free either way. So your math does look correct.

I went ahead and booked the DV kids eat/ play free. It came out to be a few dollars more than I expected, so I think I will call back to have them break the costs down for me.

I decided to book this now and then if FD comes out Thursday/ next Monday/ or whenever, that I will try to change to that. This way I won't be upset if I do not get FD for the dates we want. The DV kids deal did save us about $440 for 8 nights. Hopefully FD will save us a little bit more.
