Canopy Quest

My daughter has a double 4 poster bed that converts to a camel hump canopy bed. She wants to put on the canopy, but I'm finding it hard to find a double canopy that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

I don't really want to re-do her room. Some on the net seem to only come with the whole bedding set. Her comforter is pretty and in great shape. Anyone know where I might find what I am looking for?

Man that is tough... I just searched yahoo for bed canopies and didn't come up with anything good! Good luck someone here is bound to know.

I just went online to check and jcpenney has quite a few. Just go to home fashions, put in a search for bed canopy, and a list of different bedding comes up. I just kept clicking on the different ones and found canopies for some of the sets. It looks like the canopies are all sold separately, so you do not have to buy a whole bedding set.

I had the same trouble but finally found my DD a white battenburg lace canopy with matching dust ruffle. I got curtains too. Then I can get different comforters. Problem is I cannot remember WHERE I ordered it!! I think it was a specialty catalog. I will think...

When I did the battenburg in one of the guest rooms when we first bought the house I bought it at K-Mart. Don't know if they still have it (our K-Mart was one that closed)

If not Batenburg, try to find a plain white one or solid color that goes with her decor. I remember pulling my hair out over this one. Still can't remember where I ordered !

I haven't had time to check into any of these leads yet. DH is on a father/daughter campout this weekend, so I am home with DS. We are cleaning out his room in preparation to pick up his new bed tomorrow and remove his old bunk beds. Whew. He sure has a lot of stuff in his room, and the bunk beds have bookshelf headboards.

I'll try to check into all of these ideas the first of the week. I could take a white one and sew my own battenburg trim. I've seen that for sale before, but I bet it would be pricey to do all those ruffles.
