My question is... How can I use the macro on the camera to make pictures like this come out clearer? This is as close as I could get it and it looks a little blurry. I have seen some of the other close up shots on the board and they have great detail. Thanks!

What were your settings?

Use something to steady the camera for slower shutter speeds.

According to the EXIF data, you used a shutter speed of 1/500 sec. I can't tell if this is an indoor picture or an outdoor picture, but it looks like it was taken at a high ISO and part of the reason it looks blurry is that it's got a lot of noise.

Did you get the green rectangle when you were focusing? Depending on your distance from the subject (and whether you were using Macro or Super-Macro mode), the camera might not be able to focus properly.

If you half-press the shutter button and get a yellow rectangle, move back from the subject and try again.
