Does anyone else have this camera ? If so, how do you carry it around in the parks? I love my camera, but it's so big and heavy !!

Find a decent size bag that will fit it and you accessories. The important part is to get a good strap. You might even have to buy it separately. Ask Groucho how much he carried at the parks on his trip a few weeks ago. A S3 is nothing if you have the right case.

It's all a matter of perspective. The S3 is so much smaller and lighter than the old Oly C-2100UZ I had for my last 3 trips to Disney, that I feel like I'm travelling very light. Even moreso because the S3 is also replacing my mini DV camcorder.

I'll second the sentiment to get a good case that handles your whole park "kit" for the day... even if it means it will be slightly heavier.

we got our uncle the Rezo 100 AW, and it looks like he likes it! That bag seems so small compared to our slingshot. Anyway, you should be able to fit a decent amount of stuff in that bag without it really getting in the way. You could also wear it as a belt pack, but it seems a bit bulky for that to me. We're not going to WDW until august, so I can't tell you how he feels about walking around the parks with it until then. However, he used to carry an SLR around the parks, so I imagine he'll feel like he's carrying nothing at all! I think I read here somewhere that some people just put it in a soft case and throw it in their fanny pack or backpack...

I have the S2 (same size) and can carry it just fine in my pants pocket.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions ! I think I'm gonna try to find that Rezo 100 AW.. During our last trip I had the camera in a case in my backpack, so it took a while every time I wanted to snap a pic.

oops, it's the 110 (typo). this is it:

those pics make it seem really big, but really it's not! lol

does your camera have a neck strap?
i have a backpack and shoulder/waist pack( husband carried it and preferred the waist configuration) for my other stuff but always keep the camera around my neck since i hate digging in the pack for a lens much less the camera. we did carry a camcorder bag last wdw trip for my film slr camera and stuff and made sure it had zipped pockets etc for passes, combs/ lip balm etc so it's the only thing we had to take( grown kids). it's fairly small 6 x 10 or so so we didn't have to take it off our shoulder /waist when we went on rides, samsonite, got it at walmart for $14

Amazon.com sells the bag Canon makes just for the S2/S3/S1 and G6 models. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_p...s=photo&field-keywords=canon+s3+is+camera+bag

It's a good bag if the camera is all you want to carry. For me, it was a little small since I like to carry the manual as well as a small tripod other things so I got one a bit bigger, around the size cryssi posted above. But if DH uses the camera, he'll take the smaller one and attach it to his belt.

It does have a neck strap but I cant carry it that way very long. This is the heaviest camera I've had, but it takes great pics.
