Canon S3IS versus Canon SX100IS

I was looking at the S3IS, but I see that Canon is coming out with a 10x optical zoom camera (SX100IS) in October which is in the same price range($300). By looking at the specs, can anybody tell me what I will be losing if I drop down from the S3IS to the SX100IS? I know you are getting a bigger screen, but you lose the viewfinder which is handy for sunny days or when your battery is running low.

From what I can tell, you'll only be giving up a few things (vs. the S3):

1) fold-out/rotating LCD -- I've found it to be really useful.
2) 2 less batteries is sure to mean less battery life and slower flash cycling.
3) more megapixels on what I assume is a similar sensor means more noise.
4) no EVF -- not as good as a DLSR viewfinder, but the EVF is useful and much easier to see in bright sunny conditions.
5) it doesn't appear to accept additional lenses -- with the S3, you can get adapters (52mm or 58mm) and then teleconverters/wide-angle converters/macro lenses/filters/etc....
6) Supermacro mode -- the S3 will focus at 0cm ... something right up against the lens! You just have to be careful not to actually touch your subjects with the lens....

All in all, it doesn't seem to be that big of a "step down" from the S3/S5.
