Canon Rebates

For those of you who bought a Canon product and received a rebate claim form,
They Must be Postmarked by August 5th & rcvd by Canon b-4 the deadline of 15th August.

Still waiting on my rebate; sent it in almost a month ago.

Anyone gotten theirs back? How long did you wait?

I did receive a $5 rebate from Circuit City for a memory card; still waiting for a rebate on that same card from SanDisk.

What a pain! I hate jumping through rebate hoops; better (i.e. easier for me!) to just mark the products down or do "instant" rebates!

During last winter's rebate promotion I sent my rebate in about two days before the deadline. It took six or seven weeks for the check to come in. The rebate check was almost $500 and there were no questions or undue delays on Canon's part. And none of the items were bought at the same store, some were online, some were b&m stores.

I submitted mine, and had my check within 3 weeks probably.

It took about 8 weeks for my $100 rebate. I had forgotten about it when the check showed up.

My winter rebate went almost 12 weeks before it showed up...it too was almost $500

My $100 Rebel XT rebate took 8 weeks to arrive.

I think they sit on these rebates absolutely as long as they can before sending them out. Looking at the rebate status website, they acknowleged receipt of the forms 4 days after I sent it in and then it stayed in "processing" state for 7 weeks before being mailed out.

I waited a decent amount of time before I got mine. (I got it just recently as a matter of fact) It's funny that the rebate for my lens got here at the same time as my camera and they were sent in weeks apart.

WooHoo!! Got my Canon XT rebate today!!! Seems to have taken about 5 weeks. Now if I could only get my cruise docs to arrive...
