I know that I should not be surprised…but I am, lol! I cannot get an ADR for 2 at Le Cellier for lunch OR dinner September 20th – September 26th!!!

Just keep trying. People change and cancel all the time.

(Also with the new menu and the uproar that is causing, it sounds like a lot of Dis'ers plan on canceling their reservations)

I just tried to switch from lunch to dinner for a party of three, and the CM was like, um, no. :)

How bizarre....I just called to change my late lunch at Le Cellier to an early lunch and had no problems at all.....for 9/15. So definitely keep trying.

I called at 180 days and I knew that I had to book it later in my trip so that I could try to be one of the first groups to reserve. We called on the date that we wanted to go to Le Cellier on the +10 day and that was the Sept 26th. For split second, the CM though I had said the 19th (one week prior) and she said "I am sorry, there is nothing available for either lunch or dinner on this date" I was like WHAT? Then she had realized the mistake. But, even at exactly 180 days, Sept 19th was completely booked. I'm not saying it is now but I was like whoa!

We enjoy going to Le Cellier simply because I am a red meat gal and it's the only SH in EPCOT. I know Yachtsman is close but it's dressier and still NOT in EPCOT. I'm actually one to say it's simply good, but doesn't deserve all the praise it gets. We book two ressies each year though now that we do the DXDP so we have A LOT of credits to go through.

But with Le Cellier... California Grill... or just busier locations, I tend to put these toward the end of our trip so that we are one of the first ones to snag the times we actually want opposed to a 3:30 lunch... OR dinner.

Try booking for 3?

I couldn't get one for 2 at 180 days out, but I got one that week for a table of 3.

I might be able to help you out.

Where do you have an ADR on 9/23 for? I might be interested in trading...I have Le Cellier at 8:35 for two people.

And I have a proposition for you (no, not that kind).

I can't get a reservation for one person - trying for dinner any night from 9/24 to 9/28.

I'm a nice person, can be very entertaining, and promise not to spill anything on you (no such guarantees for myself).

Would you like to share a table? I'm calling once or twice a day... You don't even have to talk to me.

Crisis averted (sorry MScott1851 & kaytieeldr) ! I was able to get a lunch ressie for Le Cellier and thanks to some of the other comments below...I have dinner ressie's for Kona Cafe! :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone...:grouphug:

Call everyday to see if there are any cancellations. Last year my daughter called for 1 week before she could add my DH and I to her dinner reservations.

Good luck! pixiedust:

I was trying for dinner reservations in late August and was told they are FULLY booked until November. However, there are some lunch spots available, so that's what we did.

I was told today that it was booked through August, but I got a lunch ressie at 4:20 for Sept. 6, for 4. After deciding that dinner would be later (too much to do before hand!), I called again and easily got it changed to 7:25. I wonder if it depends on how hard the CM you get connected to wants to work.

I posted before about not being able to secure a Le Cellier dinner reservation 180+1 days out. The CM assisting me actually told me I should have called (could have called) 190 days out from check-in. (In other words it was partiallly my fault for not being able to get the reservation.) I still think this is technically not the case but apparently some CM's will let you book that far out.

Well, all's well that ends well, as they say. I made a reservation at Flying Fish Cafe and a few days later we heard Le Cellier's menu has changed. Whatever will be will be...

It must be the free dining making it harder to get because when I called for our August ressies at Le Cellier I had my choice of times... but then I was trying for lunch and that may be less popular.
