Cannot Decide At Epcot

Considering the fact we are staying at BWI we thought we'd take advantage of the location and book quite a few reservations in Epcot. So far we have LaHacienda (my husband has wanted to try this since it opened) and Biergarten (my sons favorite), and Le Cellier (the new menu looks so much better than the old one). So now we are trying to decide between Rose and Crown (that menu doesn't wow me since my favorite is fish and chips and I can get that at the window), Via Napoli, and Chefs de France (both of these have menus I am excited about).
What are you opinions on each?

Of the ones you mentioned the only ones we have been to are dinner at LC and Chefs every trip.

Via Napoli has a very nice wood-fired Neapolitan pizza (which is amazing by Disney's low pizza standards) and is also a relatively decent price OOP. Personally, Via Napoli would be my choice.

But if a pizza meal isn't as important to your family, then Chef's would be a quality choice.

I'd say that MY order with those three is probably: Via Napoli, Chefs de France, and lastly Rose and Crown. Good luck picking the right one...I feel like I could be there for an entire month and I'd still live by the mantra: So many choices, so little time. lol

Thank you for the replies. I really want to try both chefs and via Napoli... I pretty much crossed rose and crown off my list. We get fish and chips to share at least 3 or 4 times. I was just waiting if someone replied "wow you have to go there and try the xyz ".
We have a local artisan pizza place that has the wood burning oven but nothing like chefs at all here.

My comments on CdF from our trip are below. TLR is that the food was excellent but the service was not up to Disney standard. (But not dreadful.) We'd do it again but it's not an absolute must do. (Rose and Crown was a must do for us.)


"Boy had chosen Chefs de France and the food was excellent. I had a salmon in beurre blanc that was good enough to stand without the sauce. The French overcook their vegetables. That was the only low note. HusbandMan and I both had an excellent lobster bisque as an appetizer and while Boy didn’t care for any of the appetizer options and Cupcake only picked at her puffed pastry with cheese, they both enjoyed the fresh baguette. Cupcake ate virtually none of her pasta, HusbandMan enjoyed his Croque Monsieur (a fancy ham and cheese) and Boy had short ribs which must have been excellent given how quickly he inhaled them. Our waiter needed a little more training, because he fell down a bit on dessert. When I asked for a low sugar option he told me they didn’t offer one. I asked him to check and he came back with an offer of a fruit plate, which was what I expected. When the fruit plate arrived it was a large bowl of truly spectacular berries. HusbandMan got the sorbet trio and Boy had creme brulee. Cupcake had ice cream. The choices were chocolate, vanilla or “sorbet of the day” but when we asked the waiter what the flavor was he said that it was only chocolate or strawberry. Cupcake piped up that she wanted chocolate, so we didn’t press. HusbandMan ended up with lemon, pineapple and pomegranate."

VIA NAPOLI!! That restaurant is amazing. The pizza is incredible and I would definitely not miss the arrancini. If you are in the mood to try something different they offer a prosciutto and melon pizza.

I love Via Napoli's pizza and I am a pizza snob. They also have a wonderful antipasto that is great for sharing. I haven't been to Chefs de France in awhile but that would be my second choice and R&C my third of the ones you listed. The Yorkshire County Fish Shop has great Fish & Chips so you don't need to get that at the R&C.

I really enjoyed Via Napoli when I went a few years ago. Think it was pretty darn good pizza.

They use bettwr quality fish at the rose and crown pub than they do at the take away counter. I don't remember the difference though.

I love Rose & Crown, but I just love all things British. Of your others, I would do Via Napoli. Besides pizza, the pasta and some of the apps are also good, and probably a little easier on the pocket book.

Out of the two, I like Via Napoli. Not just for the pizza though, but for the pasta as well. Their candele dish is out of this world and my favourite. I've also tried the chicken parm with potatoes and its fantastic....their "fetuccini alfredo" (they have a different name for it) is really tasty...their arancini app is amazing.... for dessert my faves are tiramisu and zeppolle.

Same here! Thats by far my fave pizza. Soooo delish.

Yes its clear im a huge fan of via napoli. But i also love Chefs/France very much too. The cheese board, baked goat cheese salad, and the beef entree were outstanding! My DS and I loved our meals very much. You cant go wrong with either choice to be honest. BTW i'd pass on Rose/Crown. Nothing on the menu really wow'd me either.

My order with be Chefs, Via Napoli then Rose and Crown. To be honest, in over 30 years of going we have never eaten at Via Napoli, as another person said so many restaurants and so little time. My son is the only person in America who doesn't like pizza and I've always felt like the rest of the menu looked a little too heavy for me. The last time we ate at Chef's (last December) the food was good, the service not so much. Our waiter was training someone so there was that but mostly he was just a little too snobby (I hate that word) for me. I wanted french onion soup and I wanted mac and cheese. He was very adamant that I did not want those two because they were both huge. I rarely eat everything on my plate and I was paying for it so if I wanted to pay and just eat a bite, it was my decision. I actually had to argue with the man about yes, I wanted it. Needless to say, we rarely saw him after he took the order, someone else delivered our food and at some point the trainee came to see if we wanted dessert (which we did and no I didn't eat it all).

Chefs is really underwhelming. Every few trips I give it another try and am disappointed. I'd rather just get the lobster bisque from Les Halles or go all out and MP upstairs. The difference in the food and atmosphere is worth the price differential.

I think Chefs de France is yummy. It's not signature yummy, obviously, but the food is really fresh and I like the french touch. it's also pretty quiet. Via Napoli was good, but it wasn't fantastic. The pizza was yummy, but nothing wowed me and the service we had was almost awful. They have this porch area, that we were seated at, and you lose all ambiance of the neat Italian feel of the restaurant and I think the service goes down out there as well. I think I'll try it again one day, but I'd request to not be out in the porch area.

If you specifically want pizza, Via Napoli is a good choice. In many cities, especially ones not known for their pizza, it would be the best pizzeria in town. The rest of the menu isn't all that exciting, however, so I wouldn't pick it unless you're in the market for pizza.

Otherwise, I'd choose Chefs de France. It's reliable, and the menu is diverse enough to appeal to everybody. We have a reservation for dinner there next month.

I can't find anything on the daily style meals at rose and crown... where should I look?
