Cannot decide...2 or 3 days, park hop or no?

Hi all...the time until I go to UO with my newly-turned 10-year-old daughter is closing in, and I still haven't purchased my park tickets. Some info...

1. Traveling on Sunday, can do full days in the park Mon/Tues/Wed, leaving for home on Thursday.
2. We're staying at an off-site hotel a mile from the entrance gate, taking advantage of the very cheap, very convenient I Ride Trolley or hotel shuttle to get there and back.
3. This is our first time to Orlando outside of Disney World.
4. We like most rides (except upside-down roller coasters). Interested in seeing all the shows, doing the water rides, and taking our time in the Harry Potter park.
5. We're on a budget (I know, who isn't LOL)!

I think I want the 3-day base ticket without park hopper, but I'm not sure. If the crowds are going to be minimal (school's in), can we take our time with a 2-day base ticket and spend one day in each park (without hurrying), and then a third day to do Wet & Wild in Orlando or visit some other attractions? Or is it just worth it to have that 3rd day to visit one of the parks again in case we missed something? Ugh...hate this going back and forth!!!

Thanks all...this is the best place to go for planning the best Orlando trips!

Why don't you buy the base ticket and then if you decide you want to park hop, just upgrade the ticket at guest services?

Once school is back in, you can probably do both parks in 1 day, i usually do. Second day we go back to do the favs

try this link. The third offer down is the Universal Stay & Play ticket. It's a 7-day ticket and it's for BOTH parks. BUT....it's cheaper than the 3 day ticket. :woohoo:

I ordered and got mine. Others here have ordered and USED theirs...so they are legitimate tickets.

We loved having the option to *abandon* one park if it got to crowded and head to the other one. Also, there were days when we realized we were not at the park we wanted to eat lunch/dinner in and had that option of zipping next door to the other park. In short, it's just handy to be able to park hop. ;)
