Canned Fruit?

Is canned fruit allowed on the plane? I know fresh fruit isn't, and fruit leather is.

I would be more concerned about the liquid content than the fact that its actually fruit. I would think the fruit would be permitted .... the fact that its contained in liquid may disallow it though. It might depend on the size of the can.
 
If the fresh fruit is for you to eat in flight you certainly can bring it onboard. You just can't take it into a foreign country.

The fruit cups will most likely, technically, fit within the 3oz rule but unless the container is clearly marked as to how much liquid it contains they could take it from you.
 

Agree with the PP--I was told that anything that wouldn't hold its' own form if removed from the container would fall into the liquid/gel category.
