CAnman Islands - The Reef- Has anyone been?

A few days ago I posted a question about Jamaica. Well due to your posts my DD & her friends are rethinking their vacation. They are a group of 20 year olds and found this beautiful resort called The Reef. Have you ever been there? There is enough to do during the day but can you tell me about nightlife. She said they just want a place to dance at. What do you think?

If your daughter and her friends are looking for a lot of night life, I would go to Aruba. Lots to do in the downtown area at night.

Another suggestion would be a cruise. Carnival and Royal Carribean also have lots of night life.

While I really liked Grand Cayman, I thought it was pretty laid back.

Thanks, The kids couldn't book a cruise because they are only 20. They needed a 21 year old to go with them. I offered to go but they didn't want me. LOL
My friend went to Aruba last summer with her two sons the same age and she told me she didn't feel comforable leaving the boys in the bar. Her boys aren't small and she doesn't usually worry so I'm not going to suggest Aruba. Thanks for your input though.

The Reef is QUIET and remote and likely would bore them to death. It is beautiful with a great beach and I would go there again in a second. I just dont see it as a fun atmosphere for the kids. (20 somethings)

Have them check out Marriott Grand Cayman Beach Resort.

Of any resort my DH and I have been to in the Carribean, none of them really had any kind of nightlife. There may be discos and bars at the resort but most people are in bed by 10-11pm at the latest.

Any nightlife would probably have to be spent outside the resort at a "tourst trap" nightclub. But I'm not sure how comfortable I would be with that with a group of 20 yo woman anywhere in the Carribean.
