CanI go to DTD/Boardwalk the night before I check in

We are arrivng in Orlando Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. We are not checking in to our Disney resort until Saturday morning.

Can we go to Downtown Disney, the Boardwalk, resort hop etc before checking into our hotel?

Sure. Anyone can go to Downtown Disney and the Boardwalk, you don't have to be staying at a Disney resort.
