I know there is a shuttle, but is it an easy and short walk? I'm guessing that the shuttle does not start its trips to the parks until official opening time, so if one wants to do an early entry you'd probably walk.

Its about a 10 minute walk. The shuttle typically starts running 1/2 hour before park opening, and they do allow for EE as well. The last shuttle is 45 min. after the park closes. The shuttle leaves the hotel on the hour and the 30, and the park at the 15 and 45.

On our last trip I caught the 7:30 shuttle to the park. It was Sunday and it opened at 8. I was the ONLY person on the bus.

hi there, we were just at the candy cane in from may 13-23....we really liked it there...i would say the walk on average took us about 7 minutes...(me, my husband, and my kids who are 15, 12, and 10)...we did take the shuttle twice to the park and twice home, but i think it is almost as fast to walk(by the time u get on and sit for a few minutes and then start driving) but it was great a couple of times when we were exhausted....like my husband said, the walk was great, and that walk is good for all of us and i agree....have tons of fun :cool1:

Normally I would agree that walking is good for you. But, after a 15 hour day at Disneyland the last thing I need is more walking! ;)

hehehe, i actually do agree with u, at the end of the day it was nice the couple of times we used it....we had to bribe the kids though, as they had figured out that it was usually faster to walk back...the walk in the morning was nice though, we still had "fresh" legs...

thanks for the information and the good wishes!! the people on this board are terrific!!

Oh, one more thing- I think there are two times a day (maybe only one) that the bus does skip one round trip. It is posted on the counter in the lobby. The one time I'm sure of, is around 7:30 or 8pm. Be sure you plan around that.

We kept meaning to take the shuttle but ended up walking back and forth every time. We saw it lots of times but usually beat it by going on foot. It was an easy walk from CCI to DL for everyone in our party (10 years to 60 years). Good choice of hotel! :cheer2:

We just returned from our trip early this a.m. and stayed at CCI. The walk is a very easy one. We always walked in the morning. At the end of the day, when one of our 5-year old twins fell asleep, we took the shuttle. One night my dh took the shuttle with our kiddos and I walked back - I love to walk and it was so beautiful out.

It was a very convenient and reliable shuttle. It's great to know that a shuttle is there, should you want one at the end of the day. The shuttle does break from 8:00 - 8:15 as stated.
