This is our first trip to disneyland. Going on the 1st of june...I am thinking between this 2 hotels and can't seem to decide! My husband is going crazy because each day I change my mind! lol

Fairfield Inn- good deal tru costco (with character meal) close? decent reviews.

Cand Cane-Shuttle, within walking distance, breakfast and great reviews.

my concerns with fairfield inn: that it would be to noisy and in bad shape?

my concerns with candy cane: room size?

please help me decide! I am so tired of changing my mind!!! I want to have a hotel.

thank you

How many people, what ages?

We stayed at the CCI last year. The rooms are nice, although a bit small. However, we really weren't in our room except to sleep. so it didn't matter to us at all.

We're a family of 4.

We stayed at Fairfield Inn last October. It was the same type of Fairfield Inn as any other Fairfield Inn that I have stayed in. It didn't seem run down to me. It was a very close walk to the main entrance of Disneyland - I would say maybe 4 or 5 hotels down.

We didn't do a character meal at the hotel and didn't notice if they had one or not as it was just me and a friend - no kids.

I didn't notice any noise. We had a nice view from our "balcony" (really just the outside walkway). We could see the fireworks from our room window.

There were a few small gift shops and convenience store places between the hotel and the entrance where I got a tea and muffin or something each morning.

I would definitely stay at the Fairfied Inn again. (But I usually try to stay at Marriott branded hotels because I am a rewards member.) I haven't stayed at Candy Cane Inn to compare.

Thank You I wanted to hear from someone that stay there recently the character dinning is a voucher so I guess it would be goofys kitchen or ariel grotto. How was parking?

Parking is tight, but we managed & didn't move our van for a week! We have stayed there twice & the walk isn't that bad in the morning, but not so great at night when your feet are about to fall off!:)

The Candy Cane is a motel vs. a hotel, but it is very nice. We've stayed there 3 times and it was always great. The rooms aren't huge that's true, but it never was a problem for us. The grounds are really nice and it feels Disneyish to me. The only other place I've stayed is DLH and really I liked the CCI almost as much. Almost. It was cheaper anyway. I really like that they have their own shuttle too.
This time we are staying at the Doubletree Suites because my DH is also attending a convention, but if I had my way we'd be at the CCI.
Good luck picking a place.

I went ahead and book with fairfield inn tru costco. It was cheaper and included a character meal! I am excited and putting my mind into thinking that nothing is going to ruin this trip!! I really really need this time with my hubby he is been working long hours and just got back from a 2 month trainning in California. He is deploying mid june :sad1: anyway I wanted to thank all the responses.

But I have another question??? what character meal would you do? I have only heard of Ariel's Grotto and Goofy kitchen it's there anything else? we are planning of doing dinner so we would be walking from the park to the restaurant? how far is that?

Mahalo!
