Trying to find out more info on this hotel other than what's on the website.

Have you any photos to post?

Would also like more detail on the breakfast (especially photos) and the breakfast area - I read it was by the pool? Also is it table service or can you just 'grab and go'?

I only have a second to post as I am walking out the door:

PinkBudgie did a fantastic review of CCI, so search for it - lots of photos.

She said I could add my photos of the breakfast items and area - just haven't gotten around to it - but I will do it this afternoon when I get home so that you can get a really good idea what the hotel is like.

You can grab and go the bfast items. We generally had 2 of our group go to the bfast room and bring back enough for everyone. :) The bfast room is by the pool but you don't go into the pool area to access it, there are tables in the bfast room but you're not required to eat there. The rooms were a tad small but they were fine for 2 adults and 2 kids, we did feel slightly crowded but not enough that we wouldn't stay there again. The dedicated shuttle is the best part, it's really great to have access to that! Staff was great, we were allowed to park there the day of check out until we wanted to leave, and when we did walk it was very doable.

Breakfast consisted of bagels, toast, danish, muffins, cereal, fruit, hot water for cocoa and tea, and coffee. Breakfast was always very good there. They have a few tables so you can eat in their eating area or out by the pool. They also have trays so you can take breakfast back to your room, or grab it to eat on the way to the parks.

We really enjoy The Candy Cane, it is a very nice place to stay.

Thanks for the link - look forward to see your photos too:goodvibes

Another question (sorry) - when booking is there a particular view that we should request? I know the hotel only has a couple of floors, but we normally request 'high floor' - do the rooms have balconies of any kind? I LOVED watching fireworks from HoJo's and I wondered if it was possible to see any of World of Color from your room?

Alternatively, if this is not possible - can you request a pool view? We are thinking of booking a deluxe room.

Rang them up a reserved a room for the week starting 8th April - requested a 2nd floor and 'nice view' - so excited.

There really aren't view rooms at Candy Cane. All rooms have outdoor entrances with nice railing that overlook the parking lot and pool area. No views of the parks, per se. You can get deluxe and premium rooms depending on what amenities you want and the location depends on where those rooms are.

OK Pigby, I've put the pictures in PinkBudgie's CCI review - HTH!

Definitely get a deluxe if you haven't already - the regular room seemed much smaller to us.

No views really, no balconies either. We were on the second floor tho and we do prefer to be above others when possible so we did like that. The Deluxe rooms are at the back of the property so no road noise, we were at the very very front and there was road noise from Harbor, basically at all hours. We dealt with it but we would prefer a Deluxe room as well. I also think that the Deluxe rooms have microwaves/fridges and standards don't, also I think you have your bfast delivered to your room, I think they put a menu on the bed (or the door) for you to fill out and have delivered. I'm pretty sure that's one of the perks of a Deluxe room. :)
