Candy cane inn vs hotel indigo

Newbie to forum not to Disney, I have stayed at candy cane before a few time and have friends that are at indigo. If you had a choice with price being only about 100$ difference where would you stay? I will be with 9 and 15 year old

I would stay at the CCI, no question. The CCI has great service, clean rooms, free (generous) continental breakfast, private shuttle (runs on time!), is on the same side of Harbor as the parks (only a 5-10 minute walk from the parks), and is right next door to the A Mart and 7-11 if you need something. The HI is nice, but further away and requires crossing Harbor (waiting for that light can take a while), no shuttle, etc. If the budget allows, get the premium rooms at the CCI -- having breakfast delivered in the morning can really make a difference when you're trying to get everyone ready for the parks.

The Hotel Indigo is much nicer. The Candy Cane is run down in comparison. The room we had there looked like it had not been remodeled since the early 1980s.

We just stayed at the CCI in a premium room in August. Our rooms were not run down in any way.

They're also doing construction at/near Hotel Indigo. At least they were a week and a half ago.

I really like the rooms at Candy Cane. Never had a run down room.
