I am going to be staying at the Candy Cane Inn and was wondering if anyone knows if the Safety deposit boxes are in the rooms or in reception somewhere? Are they easy to access and is there a fee or anything for using them and most importantly are they secure enough for leaving things like passports / cash ect?

I would be interested to know if anyone has used these while there.

Thanks

Pete

I would also like to know if they are the wide style that would fit a laptop computer? Many places are going to these now and we have found them to be quite handy.

Sorry, we didnt use them while there earlier this month. When are you traveling? I'll be there May 4-7, if you are going after that I can check if you dont get an answer before that.

I actually emailed the Candy Cane last night and this was the reply.

Good morning

We do offer safety deposit boxes, which are located at the loby we don't have them in the guest rooms and there is no charge whatsoever to acquire one.

At time of check in you may access one by requesting one at the front desk. The safety deposit boxes are of small size, and they are just big enough to deposit passports, wallet's, jewerly, etc.

I hope I was of your help.

Thank you and have a great day

Does this mean that the CCI does not have any in room safes? Does that also apply to the premium rooms? Gosh it would be a bit inconvenient to run to the lobby every time you want to access your belongings.

We used the safety deposit boxes when we were there in Feb. They were very convenient to use because if you are leaving the grounds, you have to walk right by the lobby anyway. We safely used them for our passports, airline tickets, cash and other small valuables -- no problems whatsoever.

Do you need to ask someone everytime you want to access them or are they in an area or room of the lobby where you can help yourself? I remember staying at a hotel in Orlando and they had a seperate room which they let you into.

Thanks for the info anyway, you have put my mind at ease.
