Just wondering, one of the differences I notice between the deluxe room and the premium rooms on their website is the premium rooms are non-smoking.

For those who have stayed at the deluxe room at Candy Cane Inn, is there much residual smoke odors in those rooms? All the other amenties on premium vs deluxe, I probably won't care about, except the cigarette smoke.

thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure the entire place is non smoking....we spent last week in a deluxe and it was non smoking, complete with the little emblem of a line through a cigarette right below the room number...

There are a few seating areas outside a few doors up and down the corridor where people would sometimes smoke, but definitely not in the rooms. Our room smelled perfectly fine and I am EXTREMELY sensitive to smoke.

Our standard was non smoking too. I was assuming all the rooms were. I have never smelled smoke in any of the rooms either.

Actually, you can't smoke in any hotels in California. Or restaurants/bars.
Actually, hotels are allowed to establish smoking rooms. Restaurants and bars are smoke free. Many major hotel chains have gone to all non-smoking rooms. The Doubletree on Harbor has a limited number of smoking rooms, as does the Doubletree in Orange. Last time I checked, the Sheraton had smoking rooms.

CCI is 100% smoke free, we had no issues with residual smoke when we stayed there and I too can be very very sensitive to smoke.

I prefer the smoke free hotels, but even most of tem have smoking areas, so I try and learn where they are so I can avoid them.

A couple trips ago, the Residence Inn put us in a room they thought we would appreciate, with no one thinking about the smoking area we would have to walk through going to and from our room. We now know we DON"T want rooms in that area!
