Did you ever put together a candy bar or had gone to a birthday, wedding, or other event that had one? If so, what type of candies, or other treats were there?

What type of candies, or other treats would you like to see in one, and any suggestions on putting one together?

I am having one for my daughters birthday, and have different things, and ideas, but wanted to see if anyone had experience with this sort of thing.

This is one of my favorite things! I have been to weddings that have them and other themed parties. I even make one in my house because I love the way it looks! If you have a theme follow that if not I like, m&m's, tootsie rolls, lolly pops, rock candy, skittles, star burst, sour patch anything, pixie sticks, bubble gum, licorice, raisinettes, sugar daddy's, caramels, jaw breakers, sour balls, cotton candy, dots. You could do a candy land theme!

How old is the birthday girl? Have fun with it! :)

Here are some pictures.

Thank you very much. She will be 9 years old. I like the color theme, but we are not able to get such a selection here, so I am going to be doing a mixture of different candies. And, I am now thinking of putting together the desserts, together or next to the sweet treats. Might also have an ice cream sundae bar.

Love the different pictures. Thank you for sharing.

where did you get all the pink candy? I am doing one for my dd 1st communion next week and I cant find enough pink and white candy. we have the rock pops..and the pink and white rings.. plus jelly bellys but that is it...

Do you have an M&M store nearby? If not, you can order pink M&M's from their web site.

I did a small candy buffet for my nephew's elementary school graduation party a few years ago. Since it was an outdoor, summer party - I used sand buckets to hold the candy. (Most of which came from Oriental Trading Company). No chocolate - would have been too messy in the sun ;)

I'm considering a candy buffet for my daughter's bat mitzvah, and found this:

I've heard of them but having never seen one I couldn't imagine how they would look. Thanks for sharing the pictures!! They look like so much fun!!

wanted to share a cake my husband and I made for a party one year. It looked great with candy surrounding it! Lots of junk food - but it looked pretty!

Places to look at candy - they have themes and colors. I have used all the sites I posted and never had a complaint. I really like oldtime candy and they are very nice there too!
