Okay, this may sound like a stupid question... BUT! Are candles allowed on the ship? My husband and I would like to have a romantic candlelight dinner in our cabin.

I'm not so sure if that's okay though. Would using them in our stateroom end up setting off the sprinkler systems and sending everyone scrambling to their lifeboats? LoL.. that'd be a bad thing.

Any ideas?

I thought about bringing a candle on our cruise, and decided against it. It's just not worth the risk. Instead I filled some small bags with potpourrie and left them in various places around the cabin.

Lighted anything on a ship in your state room is a definite NO NO.

Bring a battery operated alternative like you see at Christmas time.

As others have said, candles are a definite DON'T on the ship. No flames at all in the staterooms. :)

Go have your romantic dinner at Palo, the food is MUCH better than the room service food you would have if you ate in your cabin. :)

That's pretty much what I figured. But I thought I'd ask just in case I'd be surprised. Major Bummer!

We'll be going to Palo with our vow renewal guests after our ceremony. :-)
