Thank you

There are no separate tickets for Candlelight Processional--it is included with park admission. However, you have the option--and a highly recommended one at that--to get in via a dining package. I don't know exactly how that works. Schedules and narrators have yet to be announced. Illuminations (fireworks) is not related.

On Disney web site they say there is a VIP viewing for the fireworks. Just called Disney told yes there is but no news on anything yet. But nosing how good dis boards members are was hoping someone knew. Thank you

If you purchase the dining package you get a ticket (a sticker, really) to enter the theater before the standby line does. I wouldn't expect narrators or the ability to book the dining package until next month, at the earliest. Your dining package also includes preferred viewing for Illuminations.

Ah, I will add that little nugget to the mental Rolodex. Thanks!

last year the dates and guest narrators were released June 26th so should be around that time again this year! narrators are subject to change though.

The title made me laugh. :rotfl: Candlelight Recessional. Almost seems like a recessional at Disney with all the cutbacks.

Dining packages mean you book a package (you must specifically book the package) at an Epcot restaurant and you get a chance to enter the theater before the general public. You do not get an assigned seat.

The packages include appetizer, entree, dessert and a non-alcoholic beverage (unless it's a buffet, then you get the full buffet), are a fixed price which varies depending on which restaurant you pick, and all cost 2 TS dining credits per person, no matter which restaurant or meal (lunch or dinner) you choose.

If the package counts as 2 TS credits, are the packages significantly higher in price than a regular meal at the selected restaurants. We will not be doing the dining plan this trip and I am just trying to get an idea of the cost.

It is more expensive than eating in the restaurant only specially if you have a dining discount as a pass holder or belong to tables in wonderland

Is there a shopping discount for Epcot shops? Where is the preferred viewing for Illuminations?

You march in to a processional and march out to a recessional.

Edit: I just checked. They do march out and their candles are still lit.

What was the problem?

No discount shopping associated with the Candlelight Processional. Viewing is usually at Showcase Plaza, the area btwn the two stores when entering WS from FW.

That is true; one year, John Tesh was supposed to perform for three nights. For the first night, he ended up getting snowed in following a concert in Canada and was delayed.

They called on Edward James Olmos, since he is a local. And boy, was he good. I would have listened to him read the phone book that night. :smokin:
