Does anyone have any idea when the narrators for this year's Candlelight Processional at Epcot are announced?

Around September/October timeframe is when some of the initial lists are out. They are subject to change though due to changing schedules.

CandlelightProcessoinal when, where and how much? :bounce: We got our air . We got our rooms . Car is locked in. Got my MVMCP all set up. Next is CP dinner . Oh yeah , oh yeah....Now I gotta have my garage sale..... eeewwww!!! :scared1:

Heigh ho, heigh ho! It's off to work we go... :hyper:

I've seen this mentioned (but only briefly) in a few places. Do you recommend getting the dinner package? Is it necessary in order to get a good viewing spot? What some some examples of the guest readers?

The package can be worth it. If it's a very popular speaker like Jim Caviezel or Gary Sense.

The seats are goood. They are up front, unlike the Fantasmic seats, they are the best.

But if you are on a budget you can live without the package as long as the speaker isn't VERY popular.

Package went on sale Sept 2 last year and we already knew the narrators.

It's funny that you say that the up-front seats are saved for those with the package. We've done the CP pkg twice now and both times there were empty seats down in front. We always sit in the second tier of seats if we can...in the front few rows. If you can get the rear of the first section that's good, but too far towards the front and I don't think you get the whole impact. A little distance is good, but that's just my opinion. I know I overheard some without pkgs. looking for seats and when they saw the seats down front they were thrilled. But, after they sat down, they got back up and started looking for other more to the back seats.

We're planning to do the CP dinner pkg also. But we have little ones and would prefer not to wait long..... for CP nor dinner. If you run some numbers by looking at the menus on AllEars, the dinner pkg can actually save you some money. But that depends on where, what and how much you eat.

Has anyone ever done more than one night of the candlelight package. I never have , but am thinking of doing it this time. I have to see if I can space out the dinners. :wizard:

I haven't done more than one night of the package but we have seen the show more than once. Last year we saw Kirk Franklin standby on our arrival night (Saturday), Jim Caviezel with the package (Monday) and Marlee Matlin on our last night (Thursday). Actually, we had better seats with Marlee Matlin without the package. For Jim Caviezel, we were in the front section on the left side, it was kind of hard to see. For Marlee Matlin we were in the center section about 2/3 the way back. If you are going early in the month, you can get standby seats pretty easy. Since I have a DDE card, we don't think we will do the package this year unless there is some major celebrity doing it that we want to see. For example, I heard the standby lines for Jim Caviezel ("Passion of the Christ") were pretty long.

Depends on when you'll be going too...the later it is in Dec., the longer the stand-by line will be. Also the 2nd show tends to be more crowded than the first.
We've done the dinner package every year it's been available and we wouldn't miss it for the world. My daughter used to be mesmerized by the lady doing it in sign language so we would try to sit over towards the left so she could see it better.

Yes, we have on every trip (and we will be doing it again in December). We space it out and go to different restaurants (places that we would eat at even without the CP). I have seen it many, many times and I am hoping that James Avery does it again this year (though he hasn't done it the last two years) - he was fantastic!
