It feels like it has been forever since I have been on the DIS. I have had some obstacles to overcome in my real life, but I am sure glad I was able to sit down and get on today.

I will be there next weekend, (the weekend of the CP) on friday and saturday. I was trying to figure out if DLR will be less crowded on Saturday as the SoCal AP's are blocked out. I would like to try and see the CP but could live without it. I'm just mainly worried about the crowds. My mother will be with me and in a wheelchair, and she is not big on the crowds, whereas I can work with them. Did I make a wise choice in choosing Saturday over Sunday?

bump.

I'm also wondering about crowds, as we'll be there too. Does anyone know who is doing the reading this year?

We will be there on Sunday, like you just worried about crowds and not the CP. I am planning for us to get started at 7:00 am withe MM and then head over to DCA after lunch. The forecast is also calling for a 60% chance of rain that Sunday, so that might deter some people but who knows! See ya there:cool1:

Last year CP weekend was super-crowded, with the crowds being slightly less on Sunday than on Saturday, but not by much. Lines for the rides were long, but not *that* big of a deal if you Fastpass the ones that are long no matter what (but even longer on CP weekend). People started staking out & sitting down in places to watch the CP early on in the day, so I found that the best bet, if one is not watching the CP, is to stay off Main Street as much as possible...it was difficult enough to get around there without maneuvering a wheelchair! I also found that everyone else (or so it seemed!) had the same idea as me, to walk through the stores on Main Street that are all connected on the inside, so foot traffic wasn't moving very fast that way, either  . Also, at one point on Saturday CMs were telling people who were exiting the Park that they may not be able to get back in, due to it being crowded; we chose to stay, so I can't report on if we'd have been let back in or not. The good part about all the crowds was that when we left the Park (before closing) we got to walk behind the buildings on Main Street, which was pretty cool; never seen back there before.

I know I'm making it sound like it'll be a :scared1: experience, but it's Disneyland, there are far worse places to be when it's crowded...we had fun last year, it was just way more crowded than I'm used to dealing with.

Have fun on your trip!

Weather.com is showing a 10% chance of rain for Sunday. Where did you see 60% chance? If it does rain they will cancel the CP. And I am going there to see the CP so I hope it doesn't rain.
