I'm thinking far in advance as my ADRs aren't until September, but which Epcot restaurant would you specifically rec for the Candlelight Processional package?

Also, can someone tell me how it works if you're on DDP? Can you use a credit at your dinner for the package? Or does it have to be lunch or something? (For some reason, I seem to remember something along those lines...)

Thanks!!

Hey! Yup...you can use a TS credit for the package. My mom and I did this in 2007 and enjoyed it. We ate at Teppan Edo. We tried to stay in the rough area of the theatre so we didnt have to walk a lot after dinner. The line even for packaged guests though got LONG! We were still on line for about 40 mins and were far from the theatre entrance.

We went last year. The date for booking your ressie is different from your ADR. Last year we could book ADRs at the 180 mark, but I had to wait until June to book CP. You may want to call and ask ahead of time if you can book the CP before the rest of your ADRs. Maybe with the 90 day change, they may not even release CPs until Sept?? Doesnt hurt to ask.

As for which dinner should you choose....I wish the post above me was around when I made my ressies. I chose Le Cellier, 5:30 for the 8:15 show. I was on the deluxe, so appetizers were included. We didnt get seated until 6:30. I also had breakfast that day at Tusker House and luch at Yak and Yeti. I wasnt even remotely hungry for Le Cellier, but could not resist getting in a biteful of the filet with mushroom sauce. When the breadsticks came my will power went out the door. I dont remember getting an appetizer (but I probably did!!) and ate the entire filet...it was that good! I skipped dessert, though the rest of my party didnt, so I had to wait for that, pay the bill and get out of the restaurant over the the stage for CP.

It was all I could do to keep from crying when I saw where I was and where I needed to be to get to the show. Im not sure if I made the best decision, but we opted for counterclockwise toward the UK. It was a LONG walk and on a VERY full stomach, it was not fun. We got there right when they were starting, needless to say, in the last row behind a tree.

If there is ever a "next time", I will skip lunch and choose burgers at the American pavilion for dinner!

We made our ressies early last year, but when we asked about the CLP package for this December, we were told that it can't be booked until our 90 day window. I agree that the further away you are from the American pavillion, the more you will have to rush through your meal and then around the world showcase! :sad2:

So with regular DP, you can decide which show you'd like to see? The site I saw earlier said you had to go to 5pm; we weren't too excited about going early.

Thanks for the Teppan Edo rec!! That's actually where we were thinking about going already!

When you call for ressies to CP, you tell them which restaurant and which show you would like to see. They will tell you when you need to eat your meal (usually approx 3 hours before show time).
