Candlelight Processional - Rain / storms

We will be at Epcot on 12/23 and have a Candlelight Processional package. Right now it is showing 60% chance of storms. Of course I know this is too far out to really be accurate but it did get me thinking about what would happen if it was raining or storming. I assume with rain that it continues. Is this correct? Is some of the seating covered? What about lightning?

I believe if there is lightning, they will cancel a performance. About the front 1/3 is covered.

If lightning is within 7 miles of the park, they will cancel or stop a show in progress. This happened during the Eat to the Beat Concerts.

Rain does not delay nor cause cancelation of any shows.

We once saw a CP show where the heavens opened and it POURED about half way through the show. We were sat undercover so we just stayed put, but almost everyone in the open air seating got up and ran! It was a cold night and the rain was coming in so hard, people were soaked in seconds! So the show will go on in the rain!

I was worried about this for our show last week. It ended up not raining at all, but my suggestion would be to arrive EARLY to try to get a seat in the covered section up front. As a benchmark, we lined up in the dining package line about 70 minutes in advance of our show, and were a few rows back from the covered section. If it's still calling for rain closer to your date, I'd be in that line an hour and a half ahead with my fingers crossed!! The show was beautiful, I hope it doesn't storm and you get to see it!
