I am not sure if I would like to do the CPP and wanted to get some feedback. Right know I have a regular ADR for Dec 8th at 7pm at Le Cellier bc I had decided against it. Partly bc I wasn't sure if I wanted to see the show and also bc certain items like lobster are not included (which we had at LeCellier last time and was fantastic). However, I am reconsidering bc #1 who knows if I'll even want lobster :confused and #2 the event sounds more appealing to me now. popcorn:: So I am thinking of canceling my Le Cellier ADR and booking a CPP in August. Or keeping and still going to my Le Cellier ADR and going another night and doing the package with San Angel Inn bc we decided we are staying an additional night. I have an ADR for lunch there but I've wanted to try there for dinner. So my question is...is the CPP worth it in the first place? Second we are on the dining plan...I know I can use credits for the FDP but can credits be used for the CPP? Also would you recommend going with one restaurant or the other with the CPP? Should I cancel one and try to get a CPP in Aug or keep my ADR's as is? :stitch:

The thing to do is look at the tiers listed for the Candlelight packages. Then look at the menus for the restaurants. Figure in the appetizer, entree (with sides) dessert and beverage, add both gratuity and tax and see how the cost compares.

I have looked in the past and it tends that the top tier is the best value.

I would do the CLP package. We do it every year. It is so nice to get a great seat for the show. We are doing it again this year at Alfredo's. :)

I got the CP dining package for my first two December trips and enjoyed it very much. I had a nice dinner both times (San Angel Inn and Biergarten) and the CP was a highlight of both trips.

This past December, I decided not to get the package for a couple of reasons - I was traveling solo and I eat fewer TS when I'm solo, I wasn't real thrilled with the narrators who were there during my visit, and I figured it would be easy to catch CP without the package since it would just be me.

Well, I really regretted not getting the package. I hate wasting time waiting in line, and even though I was alone, there was never a time that I wanted to wait in the standby line as long as it would've took. So I ended up just hearing bits and pieces of CP, and I was not happy about that at all. From what I did hear, both of the narrators that week were much better than I had expected them to be. I've come to realize that CP is such a wonderful performance, I will enjoy virtually any narrator they have.

I won't make the mistake of not getting the CP dining package again. I can't really comment on which restaurant to choose or how the dining plan works with CP (I've never done the dining plan) but I highly recommend the CP dining package.

If it's one credit on the dining plan like last year, I would go for the package.

Dec 8 is a Friday, it may be crowded. You would have more luck in standby Monday to Thursday unless it's a popular narrator.

I'm a huge fan of the CP package. It's a ton of food, but we really enjoyed having appetizer, entree and dessert - something we rarely do. And it sure was great to "beat the crowd" into the theatre (we still had to wait in the CP line - I'd get there 20 mins+/- ahead of time) for planning purposes.

We were so glad we did it last year, always figure we have to eat somehow anyway, and getting such terrific seats for such a stirring program was fantastic!!!

I saw yes go with the package, after seeing many people in the standby wait through 2 showings to get a seat I'm certainly doing the package this year. We waited an 1 1/2 last year in standby and almost didn't get in, we were at the very back and behind a tree. =o(

When do you need to line up if you do the package? I have a 4:30 ADR at Garden Grill that I am hoping to convert to CP package for the 6:45 show. Is this early enough or should I try to push it up to 4:00?

Last year we went the day after thanksgiving ON the plan to Le Cellier. We thought it was a great value, but we still had to stand in a MASSIVE line. We were all the way in Morocco. I didn't believe we would get seats, being so far back, but we did. A few days later, on a monday night, we were walking past as the CP show had just started. Everyone was already seated, both General Admission and Reserved. We slipped in and got great seats. So, depending on what night you want to attend the show, the package might not be necessary. BUT if you would have eaten the TS meal anyway, I would get the package!
