Thanks so much

Thanks for the info! Why only 1 show on Dec. 5? Is something going on that night?

aargh! We are going to be on a plane across country on the 2nd! Oh well, I guess I'll be making reservations for the CP from the airport.

What is the chance of them booking up for the 6th?

They always reserve that night for church groups. I think they still have the 3 performances but they do not offer packages for all 3.

Prices are up, tier 3 was $41.99 last year.

I think I picked our cards/tickets up at GF's guest services last year. Is this the case for all other locations. We'll be at BCV this trip.

I am putting this in my notbook as a rough guide for next year (2005)to help with budgeting etc... Thanks!

Of course these numbers are not official yet, but if they're for real, let's compare them to the 2003 prices.

For adults, the Tier 1 prices are unchanged and Tiers 2 and 3 are raised $3 each. Children's prices are raised $1 across the board.

This means an adult couple will pay 8.6% more for Tier 2 and 7.1% more for Tier 3. A family of four will pay 2.5% more for Tier 1, 8.7% more for Tier 2, and 7.5% more for Tier 3.

The increases in Tiers 2 and 3 are not "very slight" but very substantial, especially in view of past increases. The prices for the Candlelight Processional Dinner are increasing faster than the prices at the restaurants, and it's becoming less of a good deal. In fact if you compare these prices with what you would realistically eat at these restaurants, you may well be paying $30-$40 more for CP. (Many people don't ordinarily eat appetizer, entree and dessert!) And that doesn't even include AP or DVC discounts available at some of these restaurants.

I was trying to be helpful by passing on the information that was sent to me by my DU agent. While the narrator list has been posted previously on the boards the information regarding the price structure, show times (not that they changed) and this years participating restraurants had not.

Bella2000:

I am sure you can still pick up your tickets at the guest services desk at your resort just as in years past. This was just the information that my DU agent had and sent on to me.

erikthewise:

I edited out my DU agent's comments about the price increases being slight or in her opinion very slight. I replaced it with the fact that the prices have increased over last year.

How easy is it to get a seat/see the show without paying for a package? How early would we need to get there? Would it hold the attention of a 4 year old in your opinion?
Many thanks

Soltwisch Family,

I hope nobody will ever feel they need to edit their opinion just because I disagree with it! Your opinion is just as good as mine. But perhaps you're just disavowing what your travel agent said.

Debs Hill,

Depending on which performance you attend, you should be there 30-60 minutes before the performance begins.

I love this show, but would say there's a good chance a 4yo will not be entertained. The format is that of a choral performance with orchestra and narrator. Our DS was NOT happy at being forced to watch this a couple years ago when he was 5. You'll just have to use your own judgement. If s/he will sit through a movie in the theatre without too much squirming, it will probably be OK.
