Candlelight processional experts: lunch and then 5:00 show??

We have done the candlelight processional package just once before. We had dinner and then went to one of the later shows. I remember being nervous all through dinner that we would be late for the show. I had thought this time we would eat after the show, but Disney nixed that idea, as now everyone must eat before the show. Eating at 3:00 for the 6:45 show just seems odd to me, so I'm thinking lunch and then the 5:00 show might be the way to go. But is 5:00 too early??

Advice please!

I'm wondering the same thing. That seems to give the most time between eating and the show.

I am going for the first time too. I have ressies at 2:30 at LeCellier and am going to the first show. It is nice I will have plenty of time to eat and relax. One neat thing I read is that since we see the first show, we don't hear everything beforehand while touring the countries, so everything will be fresh! :cool1:

Last year we ate at 4:00pm for the 6:45pm show at Teppanyaki and had plenty of time. When we called for the CP package the cm told us the latest times they could book. I enjoyed it more when you could eat after the show, you can't now because you get your ticket from the restaurant as you finish. I liked the other method better.

My understanding is that each show time has a one hour time frame for the meal with the latest time you can book being 2 hours 15 minutes before the show starts. So for the 5:00 show for example, the time frame is 1:45 - 2:45. I did this show last year, and I'm doing it again this year (with a 1:45 at Biergarten). I'm not sure what you mean by too early though? Do you mean because it's still light out at 5:00? I didn't notice that it was still light out at all.

Yes, I meant too early because it isn't really dark yet. Thanks for sharing your experience.

MedCruise07, I am sorry to highjack your topic, I just have a quick question. I was telling my DH about Candlelight Processional, of which I was reminded by this topic, and told him I would really love to do this on my B-day, which is a few days before Christmas. I was starting to dial Disney so he didn’t have a choice but to reveal that he already made reservations for my b-day for Candlelight Processional and chose Biergarten. We’ve been there once just a few years ago and had a blast, but I’ve read a review where a gentleman and his family were seated next to a misbehaving drunk couple. I have doubts now… It’s just the two of us and it’s not like we are a family of 4 or 5, who would occupy at least half the table…. Does anybody know if there tables for just 2 people? At all? I can’t re-call…

We had a table for two, but it was about 3 inches away from the next table.

thanks so much wdwfan1-I'll take tree inches!! it's three inches of personal space that sitting at a huge table doesn't have :rotfl:. Seriously, I am hoping that, since it's going to be right before Christmas, people will be more "christmasy" and there won't be too many drunks (I know very naive thinking, but I'd like to think positive :) )
