Candlelight Processional Dinner Pkg.

not sure which sells out first/fast. but those performances on christmas eve and christmas day will go fast. good luck!

The packages on Saturdays sell out, too, but not until closer to Christmas.

Plus, we found out the hard way that PSs are all completely taken by the Candlelight Processional PSs. We tried to walk up one Saturday early last December to a few of the sit down restaurants, and all of them were completely booked.

Hello nothern michigan, It's nice to see a post by a fellow michigander. We were up in your fair city for the start of the Cherry Festival Saturday and had a great time.

To answer your question, we have done the CPP on Sunday night for the last 3 years and always had a great seat. We did the package at Rose & Crown Pub in 2001, 2002 and Chefs de France last year. The package is such a great deal and we always get a great seat for the show. We will be doing the package again this year at Rose & Crown Pub.

If you don't have a CP package, you can forget eating dinner in Epcot...I have done it both ways, and I will always go for the dinner package. It is one of my absolute favorite evenings at WDW. Sandie B

Le Cellier tends to go the fastest with the package in my experience. Christmas Eve and Christmas day will "sell-out" within a few days of it becoming available.

Ron from Michigan - Hope you got to see the blue angels saturday. There show was cancelled sunday due to poor visibility.

Any suggestions for restuarant choice? We're pretty basic eaters with 2 dd's (one of which is very picky). We generally don't like entrees with sauces, etc. Like I said we like simple meals.

WE did this last year on Christmas eve. I somehow was able to book the first day the packages went onsale. If I am ever down there again at that time, I would do it again in a heart beat. BOOK EARLY!

Here is the info I found last year on it.

When can you make PS for these packages? 90 days out? Last time I called, Disney told me to call in July???

Hello from another Michigander (well, transplanted, that is)! My DH is from TC too!

Anyway, we did the Garden Grill last year for our CP package...don't know how old your DDs are, but it's a character meal and the food is pretty good...we had flank steak, turkey, and maybe catfish? I don't eat catfish so I don't remember...the kids had chicken fingers also. The meal is served family style and it's all you care to eat. Anyway, no "saucy" foods! You may also want to consider Le Cellier...

How's the Biergarten? We did the CP package at Chefs de France and enjoyed that very much. This year we are taking my MIL and she wants to dine at Biergarten. We all love German food (we have a favorite authentic German restaurant in Hagerstown MD). Will we be satisfied dining in Germany after experiencing Chefs de France?

TIA

Hello northern michigan,

Yes we were able to see the Blue Angels, they were great. We also made it over to the car show later in the day. I would recommend Rose & Crown Pub , there fish a & chips, english pie sampler and salmon dinners are very good . Plus try there Mushroom Medley for starters it is fantastic. I would also recommend Le Cellier's there Filet Mignon is very good. Both places have childs menus that are pretty good. We always see the second show of the evening because by then it is dark out and it just makes the show that more beautiful. If you have never seen the CP before you are in for a treat, it will put you in the Christmas sprit for sure. Is this your first visit to WDW ? Where are you going to be staying, onsite ?

This will be our 4th trip, second at Christmas, but first to CP.

When planning you PS for CP, how much time should you allow for the meal itself? I think we'd hope to get the late CP.

We probably wouldn't do garden grill as we did have a character meal there on our first trip and DH wasn't impressed. I thought it was fine. I know we'll want to enjoy our meal and not want to have to rush to eat, but our kids will enjoy CP best on a full stomach.

Currently, we're booked for POP (two weeks). If AP rates come out we may split stay with POP and AKL or POFQ.
We have tickets for LaNouba! I hear we're in for a treat there too! I sure do hope so!

We always see the 6:45 show. We try to get Ps for 5:00 for werever we are planning on eating. This past year we made ressies for 8:15 at Chef D'France because we could not get in before the show.

Make sure either way you do it that you get in the dinner package line at least a half hour early.

POP sounds like a great place to stay, I have read great things about it. We are going to be staying here or POFQ also on our upcoming Dec. trip, so maybe we will run into each other. We stayed at POR last year and really enjoyed it, it is a beautiful resort.

I've done the CP package in both 2002 & 2003 and enjoyed it. I dined both times at the Rose & Crown. I did the 2nd show in 2002 with dinner after, which worked out better than last year. In 2003, I did the early show, then dinner afterwards. 7pm was the only time available. I was told by the cast member that sitting further from the stage would be better and ended up getting soaked when it rained. The other downside to this time was that it was still pretty light outside, so you missed the background effects. By the time I had dinner, I was cold and wet and tired.

I would recommend getting a package at the R&C, but attend the 6 o'clock show and have dinner afterwards. When you check in at the podium, request a patio table. This way you can enjoy you dinner, then relax and view Illuminations during dessert.
