Candlelight Processional Dinner Package--What can you tell me?

We just booked a short trip for December. This is our first trip around Christmas. It is just me and my husband. We were told by a friend to skip Mickey's Christmas Party. We were thinking about doing the Candlelight Processional. I have not called yet. Will it already be booked up? Do they charge your card now or when you go? Is it worth it?
