We have a group of 6 reserved for the dinner package but plans have changed and one person has to leave after dinner to catch a flight. Is it possible for that one person to not pay the package price and just do a la cart since they can't stay for the show? They are already included in the package reservation. I've looked to change it, but it's an NPH night and there is nothing else available.

Unfortunately, you're probably going to have to wait until you arrive at the restaurant and explain. They may let them do a la carte, and they may not. You could also keep trying to get an ADR for just 1 around the same time as your other ADR. The problem with that, though, is they may not agree to seat you together even though your ADRs are close. Your only other options are for them to bow out completely on dinner OR try to gift the CP ticket to a random someone, but with only one ticket, it may be difficult to find a solo traveler wanting one.

In December of 2015, we had CP reservation at Chef’s of France. Unfortunately I had come done with a severe respiratory infection. There was no way I could eat a huge meal or stay in the park for CP. We asked the server if we were obligated to stick with the package or if we could just order regularly off the menu & skip the CP tickets. That was no problem. I had soup & salad, my DH had salad & an entree. We paid normally & had no issues.

Last December we had CP reservations for 4 at Rose & Crown. This time my DIL was the one who was sick. My DS & DDIL ordered off the menu & did not take the CP package tickets. My DH & I continued with the CP package we had reserved. Again, no issues whatsoever. I think you should just let your server know one of your party does not want the package & you should be fine. That person may need to pay separately. But I don’t think you’ll have any trouble.
