Candlelight Processional Dining Packages - Early Booking for DVC Members

Thanks for posting, Pat Sajak will be there when we want to go!

How fast do the dinning package run out? If I call at 6:00am on July 3 for November 29 should I be able to get something? My son is singing and I would really like not having to stress about seats. I am open to several of the restaurants? So I have a preference but flexible. Only need 1 reservation

Doubt you will have a problem. I often wait several days to avoid the initial surge and inevitable website crashes, and usually get my first choice. They don't always load everything right away, either.

Popular narrators (like Neil Patrick Harris) & restaurants (like Via Napoli) go quickly, though. Weekends seem to sell out more quickly than weeknights.

Again, IMO, you are unlikely to have a problem.

So I’m making our dining reservations tonorrow (180 days). I already know I want to book Chefs de France lunch for the candlelight processional on December 7. We have a large party of 8 people - should I go ahead and book that lunch tomorrow for 12/7 and then when I call on July 2 asked them to add the candlelight? Have never booked CP before so not sure how it works. Tks.

As far as I am aware, you cannot do this. CP is a separate reservation entirely.

There is no narrator scheduled during our visit yet (12/8-12/15). Want to avoid the weekend. Any better day to go? Better time of the evening (5p, 6p, 8p?). Thanks for posting. It will be our first time ever seeing CP.

Our trip spans 11/28 to 12/7.

Should have 3 from which to choose. Last year saw NPHarris, generally thot to be one of the best. He did a great job!

Was going to book Whoopi for a change but saw a rumor that John Stamos might sign on again. He’s arguably a bigger Disney nerd than NPH.

Just hope they announce it before tix go on sale 7/2

We'll be there Christmas week and have never experienced the Candlelight Processional or booked a dining package before. I know it will be crowded so I want to make sure I book on time. Can anyone explain how this whole process works? Can AP or DVC discounts be used on dining packages? Thanks in advance!

No discounts on packages. Read thru this board’s “official thread” for lots of helpful info

Need clarification. As I stated in an earlier post I would like to get the dinning package in order to hear my son’s choir sing in the program. I was reading on the Epcot page about the dinning package. It said the voucher for the seating would be given at the restaurant. So will it be random as to which show I get or do I request that when I make my reservation in July and they give me the voucher for that show?. His choir is only performing in the 6:45 and 8:15 shows, not the 5:00. I don’t want to spend the money and they give me a seat voucher for a show I don’t plan on going to. Thanks for the info. First time for candlelight procession and a special dining package at Disney so not sure how it works

If I remember correctly you sign up for the time slot you want to attend. And another easy way to not get the 5:00 show...reserve a dinner during the 5:00 hour!

Thanks I thought about that but I was going for the cheaper breakfast option if possible 🤣. Guess I will find out on July 3. But may call to ask before then. Thanks again

If you book online it will show you what show it’s signing you up for. If it’s not the one you want then refreshing or searching again often will offer a different time. If you call in to reserve I believe the CM can select whatever you would like. I’ve also read that people have booked a time and then called in and the CM was able to change it. You can do it all online though with a little refreshing.

Is there a link on the DVC Member website to book online? Just reserving it right not paying for it? How early online to book?
