We will be using the DDP for the first time this December. We often like to go to the CP two nights, and usually we do the Package on a weekend night and we just wing it on the weekday night. We've never had a problem getting in on the weekday night.

Now that we're doing the DDP, is it to our benefit to book another CP? Can you do that?

I booked four. Candlelight is why I go in December. I booked for the weekend and for epcot late night when I expected the crowds to be the biggest. I will go to the 6:45 show on nights when Wishes at Migic is late so that I can go to wishes after Candlelight. The other day is a later dinner for the last show and them illuminations. Since i am on the DDP and it is 1TS it is good for me

We booked one and thought about booking a second (we already had a Le Cellier reservation w/o the package). I decided not to book the second because I hate eating so early (we have 7:15 at Le Cellier and I would have ended up with 5:00-5:40 if I cancelled and replaced with the package). It's crazy that they make you eat first even for the 5:00 show this year!
