It's getting to be that time to talk about CP and I couldn't find an 'official' thread for this year. We will be in WDW for the first time ever in DecemberšŸ¤ž and are looking forward to CP - if it still happens and in whatever shape it may take. I have been looking through old threads and trying to decide where we would like to book a dining package and waiting to see the narrator slots fill over the upcoming months. Anybody else planning on being in the parks for the Christmas season? Comments on the best dining package to book for the later time slot?

We are taking our very first trip during the holidays and hope to get to see this as well. It's actually one of the events I am the most excited about seeing so I really hope Disney is able to make it happen in some form. We have planned to try and snag a Garden Grill breakfast package, as this is a restaurant we love and planned on doing anyway.

I went for the fist time last year and really enjoyed it! So much so, I'm tempted to go again this year :santa: I chose breakfast at Ale and Compass but that gave me the earlier show.

We had our first Christmastime experience at WDW in 2017, and did CP. We got Neil Patrick Harris for our narrator, and he was wonderful...though I truly think the show would be fantastic with any narrator. We ate at Biergarten, which was an extra shot of Christmas fun because the oompah band does Christmas songs during that time of year.

We're (hopefully) going to WDW over actual Christmas this year, and definitely plan to do CP again if it's running (fingers crossed). We're staying at Boardwalk, and I'm thinking we'll try for a breakfast at Ale & Compass.

We also ate at Beirgarten for an early supper (5:00) to get into a later show. I'm so glad we chose this restaurant! The atmosphere was very Christmas-y and it was like having an additional concert with the band. My kids loved dancing in front of the stage and interacting with the band.

The food was also delicious. One recommendation: get into line for the CP early. We got there 45 minutes early and were able to choose seats closer the the front under the awning/covering. So glad we did, as about halfway through the show it started to pour rain. Everyone not under cover ended up abandoning the show but we stayed dry. I would have been so disappointed if we'd waited all year to see it and then ended up having it ruined by the rain. Totally worth the cost of the dining package for those seats alone!

Wow! The trend continues! This is our plan as well... I booked a breakfast ADR there too just in case as a back up plan for the 11/27 CP date (assuming it’s offered and starting that night) so we can enjoy the FOTH fare for our afternoon/dinner grazing prior to the show.

We really should compare trip plans - LOL!

We go every year, as we are locals, and have AP's... This is one of our favorite things to do and a must for the Christmas season... Listening to the Christmas story that is read out of the bible, is just touching and what we - my family enjoys hearing, and the voice of those in the Christmas tree are wonderful... If this doesn't put you in the Christmas spirit nothing will....

We get a dinning package, and it does vary from year to year where we choose to go... Spice Roads Table, Chef de France, are normally in the top spots I try for first.. Biergarten, Corral Reef, Tutto are next on the list....

One spot that I would not go to is Canada, Le Cellier... especially if you are planning on dinner then directly to the see the Candlelight Processional... I have a couple of reasons... One being that they are always so far behind on seating time with the ADR's... We have had dinner here a couple of times and it has always been at least 45 min's to an hour+ behind... Two is that while the food is tasty it comes out rather slowly...

So true about getting in line early. The line the night of our performance was insanely long, stretched all the way through Morocco and doubled back on itself. And that was just for those of us with dining packages. The line for those without packages on the other side of the theater was even longer. We wound up about midway of the covered pavilion. The theater is able to hold a lot of people. Of course, with COVID, if they still have CP, I would imagine they'd limit the amount of people allowed in.

we did the Ale and Compass breakfast with the 6:45 show last year. I called on the first day. Saw Neil Patrick Harris.

LeCellier in Canada has not offered the package the last few years.

šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ Girl we are going to be following one another around everywhere. We have also already booked a breakfast at Garden Grill as well that we hope to change to the CP package. We will definitely have to exchange a photo so we will recognize one another in our travels šŸ˜€.

I just don't see how they will be able to have the choirs like that unless there is widespread dissemination of a vaccine already. The audience can wear masks, the choirs cannot.

There is basically a zero percent chance of this happening this year. You cannot have choirs - it would probably be one of the most dangerous possible things they could do right now. I'm sure they'll come up with something holiday-ish but there will not be a processional like normal.
