Candlelight Processional 2015

The Candlelight Processional starts the weekend after Thanksgiving and goes to New Years (last year Dec. 30th). The booking does not go by the 180 day mark. Last year the booking opened up July 8th, though, because of a glitch a few of us were able to book the end of June and the reservations honored them. However, the narrator list was released much later. I do know if you're interested in seeing Neil Patrick Harris, in the past he has been there around November 29, 30, to December 2. I think last year was 11/30 - 12/2. There are lots of great narrators, though. Check the Restaurants/Dining Reservations forum for info for 2015. They will be talking about it soon.

:)

Unfortunately I don't think the rest of my family will want to pay for a dining package for it and I don't think it has a fastpass.
Any tips on getting in to the show without?

Yes, last year they were giving out bands. All you had to do was go to where the Processional was held and they would give out the bands, then you could go about your day. I believe only 1 person in the party needed to be there to do it. I will go try to find the thread where the particulars were discussed and get back to you with the info.

ETA: It looks like the whole party has to be there but well worth it. Last year, some passholders who had the package got there late and couldn't get in because they filled it up with standby.

I just read through this thread and found it quite helpful. Now, trying to decide if a dining package is really cost/time efficient versus obtaining wristbands and snacking around the world. Will be in EPCOT the first Saturday after Thanksgiving, which I believe is the first weekend of CP. Historically, Jodi Benson has been the narrator that first weekend and we would love to hear her read the beautiful Christmas story. We have been there for NPH and did an hour or so of stand by, but that was about 3 years ago. I realize Saturday is a busier day of the week, but does anyone know if that first weekend of CP is usually super crowded?

The Friday after Thanksgiving is shoulder to shoulder in the World Showcase, as it is the first night of CP. Crowds are lower on that Saturday but still heavy. We have been the last two years on that Friday but will be trying Saturday this year. Last year, the narrarator was Jodi Benson but the year before it was Gary Sinise. We have done the CP package each of the last two years and find it a great value, especially since we have been on Free Dining. This year will be the same and the two TS credits is well worth not having to worry about standing in the stand by line. Our favorite thing to do as a family is to get our picture Santa and Mrs. Claus at the American Adventure. Best Claus around!!!

Any word on 2015 bookings, yet? I spoke to CM today who told me they are waiting for them any day and that everyone keeps calling about it.

That is awesome! We are going 12/25. I love Edward James Olmos!! I made my dining package today!

I got my booking! I held a spot at the restaurant I wanted, then cancelled and immediately booked the candlelight into the same spot.

Sadly Joe Morton, I'd prefer Guinan, Doogie Howser or Captain Adama (what? I'm a geek!)

Having a tough time booking Tutto Italia for the 6:45 show. Anyone else having trouble with that one? Noticed on Disney website that Garden Grill will have a breakfast dining package. I am interested in that one, but can't book online. Tried over phone, but CM not able to do "yet". Anyone have more info about either of these bookings?

Joe Morton?? Ugh. Well...it'll still be fun!
I'm there Dec 5 to 11, I had to google him to see who he was, still really don't know. I booked a package for LaHacienda for 5:45 on Dec 5 to see Whoppi Goldberg. My flight lands at 1:35, I hope it's not delayed. I'm staying at Boardwalk so transportation is not a problem.

dude, he was great last year! I only knew him as "that kinda grey haired guy" and I was pleasantly surprised!
I know who he is. He's the guy from T2. Meh. Luckily, the show is really about the narrator...

It's about counting the chorus members dropping like flies from heat/nerves!

My choices are Joe Morton and tbd. Can I take it that Joe is not one of the popular ones and I should have less trouble getting in without the package?

I'm looking at going on Sunday the 6th. We plan to spend the day at Magic Kingdom and arrive at Epcot at 5:00ish. It makes it hard to plan because I'm not sure if I can get in since I won't be there early enough to get a bracelet.
