Hi!

We'll be at WDW December 1st to December 9th. I believe this time is kinda slow (hopefully).

Do you think I'll have to make PS for the night we go to the Candlelight Procession? If so, can you please tell me what restraunts are on the list and which ones you recommend?

Thanks!
Deb

There has been alot of discussion on the restaurant board and the theme park board about CP lately. You might want to look over there. One post has the list of narrators. The details of the package and restaurants have not been released yet.

If you want to do the dinner package, you have to have a PS. If you are just going to CP, you don't. I understand it will probably be late Aug. when we can make our PSs for the package.

We've been during this time every year since 1998. The CP is included in EPCOT admission. The dinner package will guarantee you a seat in the reserved section if you show up at the theater at least 15 - 20 minutes ahead of show start.

You really don't need the dinner package for your time frame, especially if you choose one of the weeknights to attend. (If you are planning a nice sit down dinner at one of the EPCOT restaurants anyway, the package is a good value - it eliminates any worry about getting a seat or having to stand in line).

If you elect to go without a package, my advice is to arrange to be near the theater about an hour ahead of the show you plan to attend. Scope out the size of the reserved section and figure out where the standby line will be. (In the past few years, it's been on the right side of the theater if you are looking at the WS lagoon). Keep an eye on the line and get in it when it looks to be about 3/4 of the size of the non-reserved seating section. You might want to grab a snack to enjoy while you are waiting.

Best wishes -

We have done the CP package the last 3 years and just love it. We have gone the same time frame that you are going this year. The crowds have been really lite, except for the weekends when they get more crowded. We did the CP package at Rose & Crown Pub in 2001, 2002 and Chefs de France last year and had great meals at all three. We love doing the CP package, we always get a great seat.

Myself, my wife, DS (8), DD (14) and DD (5 months) will be going to WDW this Christmas the first week of December. My Question is, would it be ok to take my family to the Candlelight Processional even with our 5 month old daughter? We plan on going to the 5 o'clock show. I wasn't sure if it would be a problem taking an infant to the show. I was wondering how long the show lasts? I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

The show lasts about 40 minutes and sure, it's OK to take your whole family, including your infant daughter.

Keep in mind that the theater is outdoors and only part of it has a roof over it. Also, there are parts of the show that tend to be quite loud - there is a full orchestra, a very large choir and six "ceremonial trumpets" (not sure what they are officially called, LOL).

Best wishes -

I've done this as a package the last 2 years and was glad I did. Had a wonderful meal and then got to sit without waiting very long. Here's some suggestions:

1. I would see the 2nd showing of CP. It's darker outside and you'll get a better view of the background, candles, etc.

2. Sit under the awning. I had a CM swear I would have a better view further back. Not only was I outside when it rained, but had people walking in front of me through most of the show.

3. I've done the Rose & Crown for both CP's and have enjoyed it. Try to get a PS after your show. When you arrive, request a patio table and tell them you do not mind waiting for one. This way you can enjoy a great meal, then sit back and view an unobstructed view of Illuminations from the comfort of your table while you have your dessert.
